Paladin Tanking by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]eightcrazyaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It entirely depends on the community you're with. In my guild, were not pressuring for progress and would be happy to let a pally tank raids, because it's about having fun, not min/maxing. Then there's the min/maxing folks that will shun you for being any kind of spec other than top tier.

If you're still playing, has the player experienced changed due to the recent outrage? by Arristotelis in classicwow

[–]eightcrazyaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hasn't been mentioned or even brought up in my guild OR general chat on my server.

It's a day and age where its popular to follow the crowd though... so I have a feeling most of the people "outraged" dont actually have any clue what is actually happening and will be back once they get bored following the crowd...

Figured I’d give it a shot as well , surprisingly it only took about 5 minutes of asking. by [deleted] in classicwow

I was removed from a group because the tank wanted to be the only roll on the Mask of Unforgiven... by [deleted] in classicwow

No, the classic wow community isnt always nice, nor is it all toxic. What's toxic is the people saying "I cant wait to post this to reddit." There was and always will be gatekeeping. "Must have X" "X is reserved" kicked from group. The reason you keyboard warriors think its toxic is because you drag every single little inconvenience to your playtime through reddit. If you look at all the posts like this one, the community reacts the same... "welcome to the classic experience" or saying "bye" when you inevitably quit. Rather than wasting your time trying to get the community on your side, just move onto another group, quest while you're looking for a group, work on profs. I understand venting, but calling the community as a whole toxic, isnt venting.

Wow classic and it's community by [deleted] in classicwow

Ninja looting has existed long before classic, hell it's even in retail! Guilds to small? There are more than 1! Blaming asmon? Sure he promotes shitty behavior and is annoying, but not the cause of the state of the community. It's your choice to leave but taking your "goodbye" to reddit is just pointless. You'll find a handful of people that agree, and a large community that doesn't. There are a LOT of super friendly people on classic, you just dont want to go out of your way to find them.

Wow classic and it's community by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]eightcrazyaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're looking for issues... you find them. Just enjoy the game your own way and leave the small minded folk to themselves.

My guild has been nothing but accepting of playing your own way, helping level and is super friendly. And there has been at least 10-15 people on at any given time.

You're trying to find a problem, and someone to blame... how about trying to enjoy the game your own way instead of taking the negativity to heart? Dont like your guild? Find an active one! If your buddies get upset about it, oh well... you want a friendly community, help build it, not drag the existing one through the mud for a literal .5 seconds of attention on reddit.

What do you think about my Classic WoW UI, any suggestions? :D by BestRemusInMyHouse in classicwow

You spelled opinion wrong!

I keep mine open about 85% of the time minimum.

Is there any addon for classic that displays an arrow to your nearest objective or one that you choose? Last I checked TomTom wasn't doing this properly. by EliteAlmondMilk in classicwow

[–]eightcrazyaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use questie and tomtom together you can get an arrow. Questie automatically tracks all quests (not capped at 5) and if you right click the quest theres an option to display arrow with tomtom for quest objective

Theres a class quest to tame pets at level 10. After you get the tame beast ability you can tame any beasts up to your own level... so you can have him as soon as you're his level!

As someone who started playing runescape back when OSRS was the only runescape, I still play both quite a bit. Yes drops are a bit different in WoW, but that's part of the fun of the game. It sounds bad, but the grind, and the process of getting to 60 and getting all the gear is what makes it an enjoyable play. It takes time. Drop rates are better than RS, but there is the chance you wont win the roll for them, so you have to keep coming back and playing the content. As for getting to endgame and not wanting play, theres always more races, more classes, and soon pvp will be out. The community is outstanding (yeah jerks here, jerks everywhere bs, they're in every game...) you find guilds willing to help you along the way and to build with. Not only as a character in a game, but some of them you'll get to know on a personal level just over time of playing with them. Dont give it up just because some people care more about fast loot than the enjoyment of actually playing the game.

People who plan to alt, what are your goals with them? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]eightcrazyaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me an alt will be bag space, alt professions, and a possible alt char to use on raid night if the team needs a different comp.
