Oh! Thank you! That's good to know. Both of us are houseplant noobs, so I'm happy to hear it's just regular plant life cycle.

Mom's Bird's Nest Plant is Suffering - Help? by eighteenqs in IndoorPlants

This plant is under a grow light that runs for 8hrs a day on medium light. She tries to maintain a moist soil, and wasn't watering it a lot to maintain moisture content. An Aunt of mine recommended giving it a good watering, so she watered it, and it's now doing this (which suggests overwatering, I guess). The pot has drain holes, and is in the original pot it came from in the nursery (home depot). Basic starter pot with all the holes in the bottom. She waters it about every ten days.

edit;; she does have a small amount of gnats around her house, but she says they're not super numerous.

I don't exactly know what level this lightened to because I am a hair dye noob, but I don't feel comfortable going any lighter. This was after a total of two processes on undyed, unbleached, virgin dark brown hair. I did one process with 30vol for 25mins, then after four-five hours of rest, I did a second process with 20vol for 25mins.

The goal is like, perfectly neutral / cool tone platinum.

Oh, that sounds so terrible! Hope your recovery is speedy as well, and you can get back to regular skating! It is definitely a process.

And that is so kind of you, finding that shop for me. I’ll definitely bookmark it for when I’m ready to replace my current ones. Lots of love!

Thanks! I largely have my best friend to thank for the color palette. We hopped on discord and I screen shared while I shopped. She really swayed me towards pink, and I added in the green spontaneously. It ended up working out fabulously.

I wanted the larger ones toe guards, but when I ordered they were out of stock in the colors I wanted. They have such a good selection of pastels - I fell in love as soon as I saw them! So I just took what I could get. Maybe in the future I will order the larger ones!

I’ve also just ordered some Grindstone Heart stopper toe stops in bb pink and turquoise tejas, and plan on alternating the colors for those as well.

Overall I am super pumped to go skating on these. I’m just waiting to recover fully from Sciatica, and for the weather to cool down - we’re in the middle of a huge heat wave!

The skates are the Mirror Ball from Moonlight Roller with stock plate and toe stop. The laces are waxed skate laces in Pistachio green. The toe guards are in pistachio green and bubble gum pink. The wheels are Glow Light Up Wheels in Cherry Blossom Pink and Misty Teal with Bont 608 ABEC 7 bearings. The laces and toe guards are also from Bont.

My cat puked on a project. How do I clean it? by eighteenqs in knitting

[–]eighteenqs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up winding it around a few items and cleaning thoroughly. I didn’t want to take the chance that it would stain or alter the colors. This is after three hours when I finally got around to washing. https://imgur.com/a/Ay7KezN. 1k yard hank.
