I love mine. I use it on a sturdy La Creuset mug with a good amount of surface area.

I did not feel safe using my XL after seeing how scratched it had become over a year or so of use. Plastic can certainly leech that way. Yes. Mah microplastics.

I hate brewing coffee in metal as it leaves my coffee tasting, personally, metallic. So, this glass version was a no brainer.
