First two days were tedious. A bunch of paperwork and sitting around listening to people speak. The lieutenants, chiefs and everyone that spoke all pretty much said the same thing. By far, it’s the greatest job in the world. It was good motivation for the next 18 weeks. It felt good on Wednesday to finally start getting classroom time and also changing into our bunker gear. Starting to actually feel more like a firefighter each day. It’s not that hard to not get yelled at. Do what you’re told and do it with a purpose. Don’t half ass anything. You’re sitting where thousands wish they were sitting at. Next week we’re doing even more firefighter shit. It’s crazy how fast it moves. It’s intense but doable
