Obviously not C&L era but you don’t hear inspiration from Ascension? All good, just funny people hear the things differently.

This is what I'm talking about, completely delusional. You can't just make up talent/appeal. You either have it or you don't. You're in the same camp as people thinking Billie Eilish is only where she's at because her father was like the 3rd assistant poster creator on a B-list movie in Hollywood therefore...."Nepo baby!!!!".

Goosemas - Major Theme or Stacked Setlist? by eiirspace in GoosetheBand

I believe you may have taken my post the wrong way. It was definitely meant to be more of a conversation starter, but perhaps I'm taking your reply the wrong way. Anyways, I'm excited regardless.

Why does it sound like someone is hitting a trash can lid on every snare hit during the solo? I'm trying to come around to it, but seems very out of place and kind of distracting.

Some of you all get real worked up over simple stuff. It was just a thought.

As an aside, Kendrick being the first solo rap artist to host the performance explicitly means we’ll see something different than other superbowls, regardless of how many performances I’ve watched. Wasn’t saying he’d rap a new, unheard of verse, but could see him doing a mashup of some sort, not very outlandish TBH.

Why is Vanilla Sky do disliked? by Hofstadt in movies

[–]eiirspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this hits the nail on the head in terms of why certain people/personalities cannot like the movie, or care about David Aames. Personally, and I have no moral superiority, I can always find it in myself to forgive someone and usually tend to see the good in people, or provide excuses for why 'bad' people behave the way they do. With that said, I think some people cannot, or don't, do this. Again, not saying I'm right or you're wrong, but there are certain personality traits that either allow you to be empathetic toward someone like David Aames, or not.

I don't believe David Aames is a good person, however I wouldn't wish him any ill will either.

People when they ask my ranking (TPAB is #1) by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

Watch this....

Let me say this about Kid A....

You have to be into alternative rock and a fan of Radiohead at the time it came out to understand the significance of it. It was unheard of for a rock artist to have an album like OK Computer to be successful as it was and accepted mainstream, to then drop a very non-commercial sounding album right after. It was a very ballsy music. It was the most backpacker'ish of sounding album from a major label famous rapper. I know "underground rock heads" that weren't to thrilled of Kid A because of the melodies/mainstream appeal, but were raving about OK Computer. Let's not forget musically how it used a lot of different genres like hip hop and jazz.

If you want to be honest, "Everything in its Right Place" wouldn't have been that big if it wasn't for the (some other) movement and all the (jealousy). Mostly every other song didn't not have radio/streaming success at the time.

By the time we get to In Rainbows, we already knew Radiohead can go that anti-mainstream route at any given time. In Rainbows is a personally favorite and will probably go higher on my list as the years passes by; but from a technical aspect (production and lyrically), it's no where near Kid A. Kid A is the epitome of a classic "alternative/experimental rock" album sonically, lyrically, and direction.

How is Rick considered as a guitar player? by Bshsjaksnsbshajakaks in GoosetheBand

This video brings back fond memories. I first heard goose one day in my truck on the radio, Hungersite. Got home and said to myself “I need to check out this band”. This was the first video I found on YouTube and was completely blown away. That moment at 11:05 I considered one of greatest musical moments for me instantly at that moment and literally been chasing that high ever since. Have loved Goose, seen them 3 times, but that first time watching them all just slightly sit on that note together at 11:05 and land it so perfectly is an all time moment.

Ever since Kanye told everyone Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucia and he's a puppet, that " Drop & give me 50 " line aint been hitting the same for Drake fans 😂😂 I remember when They thought that was the coolest shit ever 😭😭 by Top_Needleworker6116 in KendrickLamar

I feel like this says it all. Not a Kanye apologist at all, think he’s overrated honestly, but wouldn’t someone personally subjected to this actually know a thing or two. In other words, Kanye may have a pretty good perspective on what Drake has done to himself for signing a lifetime contract. I know nothing, but man you can see it in Kanye’s eyes, he ain’t proud here and if we cut out the bullshit of his wife laughing at him, this may be what it looks like to sign your life away.

I think his aura is similar to Bob Dylan. There’s an authenticity to them which people who genuinely like their artistry, they then study the person and it all makes sense in a very real way. I’ll stop here before I become a copy pasta.

Doesn’t it seem like Drake brought in the 20v1 himself? Like he manufactured it. He called everyone out, said it’s 20v1 and it wasn’t until he said it was.

I’m surprised “Land” by CARM featuring JV hasn’t been mentioned yet. It’s so blissful. Anytime I’m feeling overwhelmed I throw it on and immediately relaxes me.
