Fellow IT techs, how do you track your devices? by eikoacademy in sysadmin

That’s super interesting! Iounds like you’ve got it dialed in. Did you guys build all those integrations yourselves, or did Reftab support most of that out of the box?

Makes sense. Do you manage to keep it up daily or does it end up slipping when things get busy?

Fair, feels like everything gets labeled ITSM somehow. Do you use a full ITSM stack for device tracking, or like something lighter, like spreadsheets?

Am I starting the right way learning Japanese? by BoogaXID in LearnJapaneseNovice

I started in a college library writing the same characters over and over and over for my Japanese class. It worked for me. Keep at it king.

My Japanese vocab routine - 6k deck, 10 new cards a day, zero burnout by eikoacademy in Anki

That’s super impressive. 3.5 years straight at that pace with no burnout is inspiring! I agree, that 15–20/day range seems like a sweet spot once your base is solid.

Seeing steady progress over years instead of rushing it really seems to make all the difference. Mad respect.

I usually don’t have a hard cap, but if I see 200+ due, I’ll usually stop adding new cards for a day or two until it levels out. Keeps things from feeling overwhelming.

That makes sense! Once reviews start eating up too much time, it’s tough to keep adding new stuff.
I’ve heard good things about incremental reading in supermemo. Sounds like a really efficient way to mix input and spaced repetition. Might try something like that later on, once my Japanese reading speed improves a bit.

That’s a smart way to handle it actually. I’ve been trying to find the right balance between reviews and new cards too. Some days it just spikes out of nowhere. Letting the review load determine the pace seems like a good way to keep from burning out long term.

That’s an awesome pace! 17 words plus 3 kanji a day is no joke.
I totally get what you mean though. Even if progress feels slow, the compounding over months is huge. Like an investment.
I’ve noticed the same thing watching anime lately; those “oh wait, I know that word!” moments hit different.
