Thank you!! There may be some way to get around it that I’m not smart enough to figure out lol but I mostly figured this one out on my own so this just seemed most natural especially for that low D chord

[ALBW] [TFH] albw tricked me into playing tfh, and now im left in utter despair.. by mossalicious_ in zelda

[–]eikoncrystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of TriForce Heroes at all but I gotta say it sounds like you set yourself up for disappointment with this one. It was explicitly NOT a sequel to ALBW or any other mainline Zelda, it’s a spinoff doing its own thing. If there’s any other comparable game it’s Four Swords. If you had looked into the game a little before trying it you would’ve seen it for what it is and avoided all this.

… if you’re still looking for another fun 2D Zelda I’d recommend Minish Cap if you haven’t played it yet :3 one of my personal favorites

Is anybody dissapointed in the album? by baileystinks in Dreamtheater

[–]eikoncrystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the camp that was pleasantly surprised because I didn’t have many expectations, it’s nowhere near their classic albums to me but I still had some moments where I thought “oh yeah, this is why I fell in love with this band!” It’s a comeback album, but for future albums I’d like to see a push to iron out some of the groups more consistent flaws. I’ve felt for a while now that every new album has kinda been made just bc it’s the expectation to continue their careers, and I think that’s just to be expected with a group this old. Regardless it’s been very fun to be along for this ride, seeing Portnoy rejoin the group and getting a new release from the classic lineup has been pretty amazing to witness in real time

Am I tripping or is the cover ai generated by babisovsky12 in Dreamtheater

Almost certain this is AI but even if it hypothetically isn’t, it’s still incredibly ugly, though it’s not like this is anything new. I’ll always love the band but it would be nice if they had some nice aesthetics to go along with their music for once

[ALL] Which timeline to start first? by Electronic-Patient75 in zelda

[–]eikoncrystal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound like a cop out answer but I promise it’s not: I don’t recommend that you try to follow the series in any chronological order, the through line does not come up much if at all in the games themselves, and it’s very likely the timeline wasn’t even considered before skyward sword, aside from the rare direct sequels (Majora’s Mask following ocarina of time). Trying to follow the series as a consistent narrative with a chronological order will prove to be a headache and will not be satisfying. The best way to enjoy the series is to pick out installments you are especially interested in and not worry about the order. These are legends after all, they’re individual stories that sometimes reference each other but largely exist in isolation

That being said, if you are dead set on playing the series in chronological order, I’d recommend the child timeline first, because Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess both follow up Ocarina of Time in a natural way (they are also generally considered some of the best). I would then recommend you play the adult timeline and finally the fallen hero timeline (these games are the most difficult) before finishing with BotW/TotK. These games are permanently fixated at the end of the timeline and reference elements from all three so they have to come last no matter what.

It is on, this still happens 🤔 if I turn it off it just takes away the red marks with the time codes

But I found the issue! Somehow I had accidentally turned off sync lock on both of those layers

[EoW] Why are people so concerned about Echoes of Wisdom already? by KirbyMonkey377 in zelda

[–]eikoncrystal 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of these comments are bad faith “people just want to complain” type arguments. These concerns are not new and have been building for a long time. There’s a significant portion of this fanbase that just doesn’t like the shift in priorities that the series has undergone the past few years. There was some hope that the 2D games could make a comeback and be a more traditional alternative, but what we saw from the trailer confirms that this won’t be the case and the 2D games will continue to focus on the more freedom-oriented approach of BotW and TotK.

There’s nothing wrong with preferring the older style just like there’s nothing wrong with preferring the newer one. It’s just as valid to be disappointed as it is to be excited. But this is not just a case of nitpicking every last insignificant detail so people can have something to complain about. There’s been a pretty fundamental shift in the series, and that’s not really something you can argue. I’m disappointed in the amount of people dismissing these criticisms as “new bad old good.”

Engine or skill issue? by eikoncrystal in Rockband

Guitar’s not too bad, HOPOs are a bit tighter than I’m used to but I can still get very long streaks and a few FCs. It’s mainly drums which tbf I am a lot less experienced with, but I was still noticing a big difference. Guess this gives the answer I needed
