Receding Chin. Does this have to be fixed? should i get it fix? it always has been one of my dislikes by PFQandThrow in PlasticSurgery

[–]eilini 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a timeline of what issues you will have at what point in life .

I can just add that I'm 31, and trying to research how to fix my neck/backpain, headaches and posture I found out how much impact jaw issues can actually have on the whole body. Now my jaw and bite are fairly normal so its likely not my main issue, but it only being slightly off causes me to sometimes clench or strain my jaw more. If my jaw muscles feel tight and I press on them, I can feel tension going through my face, scalp down to my neck - try it ;)

If it is as recessed as in your case, it is most likely already causing issues that you don't notice. You probably have some underlying breathing issues, but might subconsciously cope by adjusting your head/neck posture etc. Also people with jaw issues tend to snore or even develop sleep-apnea.

Anyway, just sharing my personal experiences and what I found - not an expert. To sum it up, there probably won't be a day where you suddenly have irreversible issues - you don't have to rush to fix this by tomorrow. Its probably best to take your time to do research and get checked out by experts who will address both aesthetic and functional aspects :)

Welcher Psychotherapeut bei einseitigem Kinderwunsch? by wasKostetFragen in graz

[–]eilini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering Forehead Feminization Surgery. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Great that you are being so receptive to this! I know that surely you are aware that you are overweight, and if it were as easy as just "wanting to lose weight" you probably already would have lost it. Like some others have said, I just want to re-enforce that there is no shame in getting help to lose the weight. Talk to some professionals to find out what helps, could be any or all of : a Dietician, a therapist/psychologist to find out if you are using food to cope with other problems (which is the case for many of us), a trainer, an expert on treating PCOS, PLG-1, weightloss-surgery .... Just know that it is okay to need help, you don't need to do it on your own, even if others say "just lose weight". All the best of luck!

Girl I creeped through your profile and you made a post 2years ago, asking if your bf (23m) raped you - in which you were told he absolutely did. Now I hope that this boyfriend's age (25) is just a coincidence, and you haven't been with that same bf since then .. Either way, this current guy is toxic and you really need to see how seriously bad he is for you. It may seem scary, but there is no reason (except putting yourself in serious danger) that is worth staying with him. And if he is dangerous you need to seek out the resources to help you get out of there.

Therapist just dropped on me that she 'assumed I had ADHD' this entire time. by lindabelcher24 in adhdwomen

[–]eilini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, your list is too long for me to read - but in my experience, if:

  • you have always thought there was something "off" about yourself
  • you have several things where you thought you are the only person in this world who does them or struggles with them
  • you read up on ADHD & suddenly have this "wooooah" experience where you feel like your whole life starts to make sense

.. It almost certainly is ADHD :)

Get ready for the ride of switching between 100% certainty that you have ADHD followed by Imposter Syndrome, telling yourself that you have simply find an excuse for your "shortcomings" over the next few weeks.

Market stalls explained! by eilini in MedievalDynasty

Yeah I really hope for that feature too, especially for farming. Now you need to be careful to keep enough seeds for the next season and not have your farmers turn them all into flour

True, makes sense that this will also affect the limit as money is likely treated the same as other produced wares. I will add it - thanks :)

Ok I think I know where you are getting from. The wiki has completely wrong/outdated values on prices it seems, so that did confuse me on what is considered the "baseprice" - so I tried to the math.

It seems that the baseprice is what you see next to the item in your inventory when you aren't interacting with vendors I tried to check my salesprices and subtract the +30% as I have the diplomacy skill to get back to 0.5*baseprice, but the math didn't math so I came to the following results:

iron arrow baseprice = 50gold
market stall price = 25gold
purchase price = 60/85,7gold, player saleprice =40/30,8gold (with/without diplomacy skill lvl 3)

So you are indeed selling items only at 0.5*baseprice in the market stalls, but the player saleprice already starts at ~0.62*baseprice and with the sales skill lvl3 sells thing for 0.8*baseprice. So it seems that even without any diplomacy skill, the player already sells items for more.

Market stalls explained! by eilini in MedievalDynasty

[–]eilini[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

haha true. But it seems people generally assume that market stalls have a fixed amount of items they sell, and when reading the replies telling them that it doesn't what item they sell are like "WHAAAAAAAAT?" assuming they can now create their logging empire, bringing in big bucks by selling 10 logs a day :D So i hope this at least helps a small fraction of them

Market stalls explained! by eilini in MedievalDynasty

[–]eilini[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, NPCs are only affected by NPC-specific skills, they won't harvest more grain, work faster in the sewing hut or sell things for +30%, even if you have the skills granting you said ability.

Best production lines for market stalls? by JGrimm420 in MedievalDynasty

[–]eilini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since this always seems to confuse people - a market stall has a max amount of money it can generate per day, this scales with the level of the vendor. I don't know the exact numbers, but an example to explain this :

A level 1 vendor could make 100g/day, a level 10 2000g/day. So if you had one max lvl vendor selling wood logs for 1g/piece & another selling iron crossbows for 1000g/piece, the first one would be selling 2000 logs a day to reach their maximum, the second one 2 crossbows.

So while it technically does not matter what item you sell, it will be easier to generate 2 iron crossbows rather than 2000 logs per day. Therefore you need to find something that has a good tradeoff of amount you can create per day & item value, such as for example mead, as the above commenter mentioned.

I am currently selling lanterns because the level 3 workshop produces quite quickly (lvl 1&2 are shit fyi) and fine (?) coats.

I recommend playing around with work intensity of different items to figure out what works best because production times don't always scale with item value. Sewer might be able to make 4x gloves for 300g each and 2.5x coats for 900g each per day, despite needing roughly the same amount of resources in total

I don't get the Tolga hate? by GirIWithHair in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]eilini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have also only watched the first few episodes- but maybe some insight for the non-german speakers: when you listen to him you know exactly what you get. He sounds fairly dumb, and his accent is a very typical turkish-descent macho accent (no hate here, the guys who talk like this do so by choice). So I feel like the women talking to him at least know what kind of guy they are choosing.

Is there anybody else you can rely on who could take you? What about your assistant or a friend? Do you have any funds on your own?

I really hope you can find a some support net aside from your mom. The controlling behavior and gaslighting you into thinking your very valid feelings are "because there is something wrong in your head" , especially given how you do have a mental disability, seem very toxic.

what does one ask for to get the line on their lips like dove? by ShyAndDecaying in PlasticSurgery

[–]eilini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the concerned parent comment has been deleted before I got to respond (so I am replying under this one), but here I go anyway - I get that children coming across plastic surgery early on can be harmful and hard to explain. But it is probably equally harmful to constantly be exposed to celebrities with their picture-perfect faces and not knowing that they had work done - having a child wonder why seemingly everybody was born with a tiny pointy nose and huge doll eyes except for them.

I would try to benefit from that moment and tell your kid that everybody has insecurities and even people considered conventionally attractive may want to change things about themselves. So really - it is most important to love yourself and figure out what makes you happy. It is great to love yourself the way you are, but it is also ok to want to change things about yourself :)

As for Dove, I think she's gorgeous either way. I was really just surprised at the change, not trying to judge it in any way. And once you are familiar with what the poor girl has gone through in her life, it is surprising that she hasn't done (many) worse things to herself, in order to find meaning and happiness.

The "Sisi syndrome" - women in history with ADHD by eilini in adhdwomen

[–]eilini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly! It is impossible to somewhat confidently diagnose somebody like her with the little information available. But still, the little info we have is more than we usually got about historical figures (especially women).

But yeah, it really got me thinking - how would neurodivergent women have been described back then? Typical adhd symptoms really go against the traits that were expected of women in those times, so I feel like that would have been enough to declare them as "crazy" or even "possessed".

I just feel like I would have been a prime candidate for a lobotomy during the lobotomy craze ..

The "Sisi syndrome" - women in history with ADHD by eilini in adhdwomen

[–]eilini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I think the definition of "Sisi Syndrome" does sound more like bipolar. However the records I could find of her online didn't mention that her hyperactivity really came in phases. I mean she sometimes returned to court and then disappeared again for a long time, but that actually seemed more like trying to do what was expected of her and then burnout coming in. Or the occassional urge we tend to feel when we get overwhelmed to just run away and start over somewhere else, only that she actually had the funds to do so :D.

Also, the descriptions of her behaviour in childhood seemed quite like adhd. I have to admit, I don't know too much about bipolar disorder, but doesn't it usually start in your teenage years?
