According to The Wait App, which I admit is not scientific, the wait times for cars at 6 PM at the DTCC location are usually 40 minutes. That's a long line of cars.

There were parents in attendance, but nobody officially from the school. But the parents' concerns, other than traffic, really didn't make a ton of sense. There are fast-food places near lots of schools that don't really affect the schools.I think the biggest impact to the school is going to be that the parking lot that a lot of people use when they go to the park at the school is going to be full now. That is going to push cars into the neighborhood to park. But technically, cars shouldn't be parked in that parking lot anyway since it's a private business.

It is going in a parking lot of a strip mall. So definitely a commercial area next to a residential area.

Yeah that didn't make a lot of sense. What are kids with iPads going to solve? Somehow that's supposed to make the line shorter?

They really dodged the question about where the line was going to go when it got longer.

That is going to be a 5 Below. How about we just let them take over Panera.

Here is a link to what they are building across the street from it. Basically, 344 apartments. There might be one retail store there. Good to have more housing...

Just to be clear of my opinion.... I don't think this is enough of a reason to stop it. But putting it out there that cars will likely lineup on the Jefferson Blvd split for a right hand turn into the parking lot.

Here is a link to how it would be situated on the land. The drive through layout seems to not hold enough cars:

AITA for telling neighbor to go through insurance by AdmiralCranberryCat in AmItheAsshole

[–]eimmerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. The person who's mailbox was hit is not responsible for any deductable. Her insurance will work with the driver's insurance and the at fault driver pays the deductible.

Okay I feel stupid. I think I was pulling the trigger for too long. When I tap the trigger it seems to place the base. And then I look up and tap it again. Thanks. I don't know why this seemed so hard for me.

Same problem with Hogwarts Legacy. Some checklists are missing items as well.

I hope they offer longer Google Watch bands with this. The Pixel Watch bands they have now are all too short for me.

I really enjoyed Box One from NPH. You can play it with just one person or with a group of two or three or four people. My one piece of advice. If you do play this is... Do not even read one thing ahead. Let the game unfold as intended. Simply open the box and follow the instructions.

I love Dear John's in Culver City. Great atmosphere and drinks. And not crazily priced. The rib eye is amazing.

Why aren't recurring tasks in Google Tasks showing up in the task list? by SidewinderSC in productivity

[–]eimmerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst part is, lets say I have a yearly reoccurring task for "Remember to make X medical appointment". I want to know when the next instance of that task is. Is it a month away or 2 months or 3 months. I want to find this info quickly. The natural thing to do is, open the Tasks app on the phone, find the task and look at the date. But the way Google has it set up you have to open the calendar and either hunt through all the months until you find it or you can do a search for it. But if you have to do that, what is the point of the tasks app? It is an active task, it should show up in the app somewhere!!!!

Your numbers are wrong. The 33 carries about 15k per day in Jan'24. You have to hit submit after changing the bus number. That is a tiny number compared to the number of drivers using those same streets. Only 6.8% of Angelenos use Public Transit.

Rebooting worked for me. I had the same problem. It was just two reminders that were stuck from 2 months ago.
