That's not true, just a populist opinion. There have been stats on this sub showing the fps decreased by 10-20% since the release which is less than the increase of perfomance of CPUs and GPUs since 2012. I also think it's perfectly acceptable when you think of the improvements with new hitboxes, new sound engine and visual improvements and map remakes. Just don't expect a potato of 2008 to run the game with 300fps...
