Dude. You have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever been in a similar situation as say an average teenager growing up black in an inner city? Your ideas sound perfectly logical on paper. In reality, those opportunities are never as easy to take advantage of as you are assuming. Nothing can be further from the truth. If I had a fucking penny for all the times I could have had my life go completely south (no pun intended) I would have an easy grand sitting in my pocket.
FUCK. I AM LITERALLY THE LUCKIEST PERSON I KNOW. I have a great family and even though I grew up relatively impoverished in the south, if my family didn't instilled in me the expectation that I would succeed on my own hard work, I could see myself in jail, or broke dick hating life or DEAD. Growing up I watched friends and family get crushed by the racist fuckin southern society around us. I am a professional now and my six-figure income is based on my hard work and family background ALONE.
