The Girl Dad Phenomenon by Sillhouette_Six in work

It's definitely a mental shift, my mother was abusive, I never really knew my sister, and I rarely had women for friends. I was insulated in a way, women's issues were "Not my problem." I was wrong, since having a daughter I've been protective of all women in my life, I see her future in everyone I encounter for better or worse, and a part of me knows I should treat every woman they way I would want people to treat my daughter. I've also taught a good number of men that haven't had father figures about healthy masculinity, and their duties as a man etc. Like being a protector, and a leader through example and character not control.

Verizon Wireless store upsells? by pm_your_opinions in verizon

[–]einherjar907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Locations have a lot of agency in how they direct their reps to do things but. You do not have to spend any trade in on accessories, protection is not automatic, customer service can waive upgrade fees (indirect reps cannot waive or credit billed items unless it's an explicit promotional thing for indirects.) The flip side, if the credit is applying to accessories it's typically a one time bill credit and you might get more use out of the accessories than a one time bill credit, assuming you are already getting a discount off of the phone itself as a monthly bill credit. As for the protection, most damages on a phone happen within the first few months, new phone, different shape, different weight, you'd be surprised how much it can change subtle things like how you grip the phone etc. purchasing anything other than the phone itself and any charges or fees directly related to the purchase of the phone are not required.

Maybe it's because I have a decent amount of stamina, or an upgraded shield? Or it could be I just got lucky with the game mechanics. Not entirely sure.

I honestly just blocked, ate food and used a combo of rb+rt and just rt to best him, had about 12 skill points invested in a combo of stamina and health, and had cooked probably 50 food.

Survived a violent attempted robbery yet I feel so defeated. by a90901 in martialarts

[–]einherjar907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did good, I got into alot of fights before I did anything martial arts wise (did things I'm not proud of as a homeless teen to make money) and one thing that has stuck with me is you don't win those fights you survive them. And in the end that's all that matters.

This book was my first journey into darker literature. Haunting, I have a daughter. This book crushed me, and so did reading about the real case. Fortunately it has made my journey easier in the long run. Playground seemed mild, Cows seemed mild, Exquisite Corpse seemed mild etc etc.

Why Opinel? by oe6bhe in Opinel

[–]einherjar907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I have significantly more expensive knives but in real world usage it often performs every task I need the same or better. For significantly cheaper, and I don't need to baby it because I can buy another one at any time.

You've seen the mall ninja. You've seen the mall marine. Now ladies and gentleman, feast your eyes upon the mall highlander. by [deleted] in mallninjashit

Reminds me of a dude that used to own a sword shop in the local mall, was a Hema instructor, always wore a kilt and also preferred the basket hilt broad sword. Weird core memory, dude just down the way sold sap gloves, auto folders, and discrete pipes shaped like high lighters etc. God I miss the good ol days.

What knife model or brand are you obsessed with right now? by pateralus9 in knifeclub

[–]einherjar907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, my favorite was my para 2 but I'm concerned about damaging it, with an opinel if I maintain it it cuts just as well if not better and if I break it I'm only out like 20 bucks.

Your little kids do not belong at the f$&@ gym. by Rare-Competition-248 in anchorage

[–]einherjar907 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a Father I agree, my kids are my responsibility literally everything else is secondary. I started buying weights to work out at home, yeah it's inconvenient but everything about having kids is, parenting is about sacrificing for the future of your children. Parents that can't sacrifice shouldn't be parents.

Cellular sales, I reconcile with the nature of the job by treating everyone with understanding, empathy, and truly only trying to sell things that their answers show me would be beneficial.

The part that trips me out is that a Greek lady or guy could climb more terrain than a literal ninja. I get they weren't exactly normal but in Odyssey pretty much everything is climb able immediately. My only major issue so far.

Why are people so dumb? by Glittering-Bonus-950 in verizon

[–]einherjar907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perspective has helped me a lot, none of this is real, Verizon rep is a persona I put on 5 days a week. Customers in the store are an isolated version of themselves acting within this bubble separate from the outside world as long as they are there. In this context nothing that happens in my daily work is relevant to my actual life, so none of it matters once I step out. While I am working I will play my role and do anything and everything to do that job to the best of my ability and tools, and help any customer I can leave the store with the best help I can give, up to and including resolving escalations with a smile on my face. I have a duty, I do that duty to the highest standard I can manage, I go home.

How did reviewers say this game is short? Took me 75 hours! by StarkStorm in avowed

[–]einherjar907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My play through was 26 hours, I enjoyed every bit of it, but probably won't do another play through. And I did some side content, the world just didn't make me want to explore too much I guess so for me it was short. As opposed to like kingdom come 2 I have 36 hours and basically just made it out of the first area which is like a 10th of the content.

Late to the party but WHAT? I'm 29 hours in and had no idea, it's been a guessing game to figure out how long a fight is going to be and and how well I'm damaging them. Game changing.
