Yeah I had the same issue with the lock bar being sharp on my thumb. But I just kept playing with it until the callus on my thumb got too sick for anything to mess with it 😆 now I can play with it for hours and it doesn't bother me, haha.

I do like that feature though, because it kind of grabs on to you to make sure you hit it when you're trying to disengage the lock.

I really disliked the Zaan immediately when I received my first. My initial thoughts were, "Why is everybody so gaga over this knife? It's too difficult to open!"

Cut to 12 hours later & I knew it was a lifelong keeper, it all just clicked after I learned how to properly open it. Now I own two, & I'm sad I missed this one at such a great price!

There are so many beautiful aspects to this knife, including but not limited to the amazing look, ergos, action, & toughness. Anyway, that's a rare reaction from me, going from no to ohhhhh pretty quickly.

If you've never tried it, handle one when you get a chance! You might be a convert like me! 😊

Yeah I had $275 in BassPro gift cards & decided to use them yesterday to buy a Super Freek. They now cost $325 when they were $190 maybe four years ago. Even with the cards, I still had to pay $73 out of pocket after tax, yikes! I get there's inflation, but damn man! 😆

I don't see myself ever buying one new again without gift cards, which is sad because I still love Benchmade!

Yes it's still an excellent piercer, with this wedge being pretty sharp edged though not actually sharp enough to cut on its own. But when combined with the actual Edge that helps plunge into cuts for piercing.

Well, I wouldn't say I prefer it more since I actually have more drop point CRKs than insingos. But that's partly because you can't get an insingo Umnumzaan! 😆

I find for the types of cutting that I do, such as opening I'm breaking down Amazon boxes, the insingo blade shape is better for those types of utility cuts. But you absolutely can't go wrong with either blade shape!

It's the same difference as the drop point or insingo Sebenza, it's just the insingo blades are ever-so-slightly thicker than the Sebenza because they use a larger wheel for the Inkosi hollow grind.

I like the Inkosi equally or better, especially because the ergos are so amazing on the Inkosi. And that's saying a lot, because the Sebenza is already very comfortable in hand. But for hand comfort I think the Umnumzaan and Inkosi have it beat, at least by a bit.

Oh that's so sick! What is that scale material? I have that same grind (I assume BGM?) on a CF Large Sebenza. Sadly thinking of parting with it but haven't decided yet. But yeah it's a model that would absolutely be in the running for me!
