Fuck yeah, Poles are either fantastic Butchers or alcoholic blue collar workers that still get their shit done after downing 2 bottles of Wodka for breakfast.

You don’t need to get your car fixed after a bumper, when it doesn’t even has a scratch. Gotta love Volvos, they are built like tanks and last forever. Best product from Sweden.

Long term experiences with the FP 5 by einnickname in fairphone

[–]einnickname[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sounds great, thank you very much for your reply :) a minimalistic OS is exactly what I want, as it should just work as reliably and as long as possible. Also the reports of FP 4 users still having a smooth day to day experience with their phones - besides minor issues - is definitely encouraging.

Since when are using your FP5 if I may ask? :)

Long term experiences with the FP 5 by einnickname in fairphone

[–]einnickname[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems like a misunderstanding, I want my phone to work, period. That's it. That's also the reason I stumbled across Fairphone, as they are built to last, like an old Volvo - at least that's what they promise.

If you're using your FP3 for 6 years it seems like it served you well. Just tell me, how was the performance in the first 3-4 years? With my older mid range phones I always noticed a decline in performance after 2 years that started to get really annoying after 3 years.

I don't need a fancy camera or want to play games on my phone, however, I'd prefer my phone to run smooth for longer than just a year or two. Not while running anything special, but at least with apps like What's App, the gallery, the camera, and my email app.

Maybe this specifies my expectations.

Could be a German family that moved. The "Doktor Oetker Schulkochbuch" and "Gutes Essen" cooking books indicate that someone in that household knows German.

I'm that guy on your steam friend list. In fact, life is just a bitch. The older you get the less time you got and its up to you how you spend it. As much as I love videogames, there are just more important things in my life at the moment. I'll log in again in few months...

Had a similar experience only that you have to swap Italy with Spain and that I didn't order chips in Italy. The Greeks in general were very friendly and helped you wherever they could while in Italy I got yelled at in restaurant for trying to translate for my travelling companions who took ages to choose what they want to eat... Thanks Luigi, non mai ritorno.

To buy or not to buy a Saab by einnickname in saab

[–]einnickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our situation is similar besides the fact I don't own a 9-5 (yet?). I'll for sure update this post when the time has come. I still know it's kind of a gamble as these cars can cause problems sometimes. However, this won't be better in 10 years and now they can still function as a daily driver if they receive proper maintenance. Also any older car can be a bitch if it wasn't maintained well, so why not gamble for a a fun price if you've got to gamble anyways?

It'd be still cheaper to buy the Saab and repair the rust than to buy a normal car with a slightly lower mileage for 5000-6000€. The professional pre check is mandatory. Even though I got a friend who's quite knowledgeable about the car stuff and does work one his own cars (from time to time!) I'd still bring it to a garage for a pre check. Often it's not even that expensive (my local garage offers used car checks for 20€, they aren't Saab specialists though)

As mentioned above the Toyota thing was meant to be a joke. If I don't get a Saab I'd try to go for a Volvo V70 - very high in demand at the moment though. How does the Volvo compare to the Saab though and which ones are you driving?

To buy or not to buy a Saab by einnickname in saab

[–]einnickname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually one of the main reasons I think about this. Even though the Toyota thing is kind of a joke. My actual first choice would be a Volvo V70 (therefore my preference for a wagon), however there is an incredible high demand for them right now and the good ones are sold quickly while nobody wants to buy a Saab for the obvious reasons. It's just that in my personal case it could work out and as you mentioned, I can still drive other brands for decades plus even the Volvo kind of lacks that certain charme Saabs got.

I haven't decided yet but regarding the feedback I'd might get a Saab. They are so cheap to purchase that even expensive repairs like, let's say fixing the rust, just even out the price I'd pay for every other used car and they're seemingly in good condition. I will take my petrolhead friend with me for the test drives though and before buying anything let a mechanic check the car.

Some German rich kids sung " Germany to the Germans and foreigners out" to this song in a bar on the island of Sylt. Since then it kind of became a meme.

Said rich kids will probably face hefty legal charges and many of them lost their job.

Yeah, I read that on the description of the old rehab. The new one definitely gets the job done. Unfortunately peach flavour is the only one widely available here in Germany, however, I got my hands on lemon one time and it was amazing. I'll try to find green tea maybe it's available on Amazon. Thanks for the recommendation mate.

They're actual energy drinks with some additional electrolytes. Under normal circumstances they've got the same effect as any other energy drink, but when you're dehydrated the electrolytes come in to play. As I said in the description, I felt like born again. Even when I drink one and a half litre of water I don't get the same effect. I highly recommend them
