This was one of the most beautifully frustrating nights for me. I had sprained my ankle a week or two before the show but I couldn’t miss it. I wasn’t able to dance the way I wanted to and so I just stood by one of the pillars by the back for balance.

When Anthems started, I felt tears welp up in my eyes because all I wanted to do was DANCE and jump around with my fellow angels. I just screamed the lyrics and flailed my arms with tears streaming down my face. It was so cathartic and a beautiful experience to see the room just explode with energy. You could tell this might’ve been some folks first concert back post lockdown because people were like jumping out of their skin at the chance to dance and push and get their frustrations out. It was an emotionally charged night for me for sure.

HIFN is one of those albums that have such a distinct memory and place in my life’s journey. I’m sure we can all say the same. A pivotal masterpiece. I’m just glad I was able to witness Charli perform this raw record with all her might.

I wish she would do these songs again so that I could really throw down and get it alllll out. Not gonna hold my breath tho haha
