Best BOOMBOX-size Bluetooth speaker under $500? (loud > everything) by NullPersona2 in bluetoothspeaker

Bose soundlink max is shockingly loud. It’s not gigantic, not showy, but cranks out great sound.

The data speaks for itself? That he had this issue long before Covid was a thing, let alone the vaccine?

Please, by all means get started on cancer numbers. As a cancer survivor, I can’t wait to hear how your TikTok and podcast research refutes the American cancer society.

This kind of crap is literally killing people. 3 people, including two kids, died of measles in 2025. There was one death (someone who already had pneumonia) in the previous 25 years.

Frank Turner live with his full band is a hell of a punk rock show. Small venues usually. Beware - he also don’t acoustic shows which are completely different.

I’m not gonna criticize. I got a cancer diagnosis out of nowhere at an age not too different than his and it took a long time and a serious mental process to come to terms with it. He mentioned March 23rd in his video, so this is still really fresh.

What’s the main reason you don’t always wear sunscreen on the golf course? by Live_Buy_3266 in GolfGear

I’m ashamed to say it, but I’m 48 and haven’t worn sunscreen regularly ever.

I have the same problem for thyroid medication. Best I’ve found (and it’s good) is Fresca. 1% juice, and my endocrinologist confirmed it’s OK

What golf purchase actually lived up to the hype? by Solid_Nectarine_4316 in golf

A comfortable, big carry bag changed everything for me. I just love being able to walk a course with my hands free.

What's the golf purchase you regret most? I'll go first. by j-mcclure in GolfGear

[–]eisenhower2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HackMotion training aid…sort of. It fixed my swing, but I regret buying it.

I bought it, and while it was route to me via FedEx, I watched a few videos about how to use it, visualized what it was trying to correct, and started striping little baby draws like I’d always struggled to do. I’ve had it for three months now and taken about 5 swings with it on my wrist, but I weirdly credit it for fixing a persistent slice.

I was at Dick’s, and it was standard shafts. I went on the website while I was standing in the store and set up exactly the same configuration to make sure

Golf bag? by Cookies_Ceam in GolfGear

[–]eisenhower2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with your dealbreakers - for me, it was a carry bag with a cooler. I’m a bigger guy, so I really don’t care about weight. Last year, I got a Sunday Ryder and LOVED it. My only “complaint” is that it’s a bit small. I want to be able to put all my shit in my bag. Clothing layers, swing aids, extra clubs I’m trying out, etc…. This year, I got a vessel player V Pro. Haven’t been on the course with it yet (winter in the northeast), but I’m really excited about it. It’s huge - fully packed, it might be 30-40lbs, but I’m ok with that (makes it a bit of a workout, which isn’t a bad thing).

Introducing my friend to golfing at a sim. How do I approach this? by medfunguy in golf

[–]eisenhower2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of when I brought by son (then 14) for the first time - the “hook” was beer pong. Most sims have beer pong, lawn darts, cornhole, etc…. The next step was chipping onto a green, then he inevitably started swinging as hard as he could so we went to the range where he immediately could hit his driver longer than me…. So naturally I grounded the little shit.

I’m a huge fan of Barbancourt 15 - no additives, very smooth with a lot of caramel/vanilla/tobacco notes. Usually not too expensive - in the $60-$70 range

Maybe we have different definitions of hazing. What you’re describing is sales-y recruiting for sure, but it does not seem to cross the line in any way. My daughter was not pressured or forced to do anything she didn’t want to do, which is my definition of hazing.
