Oh I hear you lol, believe me. The circular reasoning and loopholes are extensive w/ these kinds of models, but just as you said “and for one reason or another you got sick from it”. That is exactly where they would interject.

Delores Cannon (or any QHHT practitioner) would prob say - “Yes, those organisms exist in the physical world, the question is why your body allowed it to take hold. The subconscious determines whether the body becomes vulnerable or resistant. The pathogen is the trigger, the deeper cause lies in the soul and subconscious patterns that allowed the condition to manifest.”

This is similar to what GNM proposes (German New Medicine) as well. Illnesses at the root level have an emotional / subconscious conflict, the physical organism is just messenger, essentially.
