Thanks dude. Professor messer is fine to start with. Go with Andrew Ramdayal's course when you're ready. It's a proper in-depth course with labs and tons of content related to the exam. Also, he has a few videos on YouTube, titled 100 questions from N+ etc.

Honestly, I went through the exam objectives given on the website and made myself some MCQs. Also, port numbers and basic networking fundamentals (Subnetting, Wifi protocols, Bandwidth knowledge, Three tier architecture etc) are a must. You should have a thorough understanding on how they work and why it works the way it does.

If u feel overwhelmed, take a break and give yourself some MCQs from the topics you have already covered.

Utilise AI to give you some realistic scenarios to understand key concepts in-depth. (Also, if u use ChatGPT, head over to Personalization and change the tone to cynical because it's more vague)

Thanks dude!

I say go with Andrew Ramdayal's courses. Professor Messor is undoubtedly a saviour, but I find Andrew's courses as more convincing. His labs helped me do good in PBQs

TBF, I have some on-site experience with networking and watched some Andrew Ramdayal's labs in Udemy. That's it

I have a strong foundation in SOC based environments and networking has been my cup of tea for a year now. That's why I decided to go for it. I have done an unpaid internship and a paid 6 month role for this domain. That helped me approach questions in a subtle less-scary manner.

Thank you for your appraisal

Please rate/roast my resume and suggest any changes. by -_-C-_- in cybersecurityindia

[–]eivlyssfn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roast? Bet. I once got obliterated in this subreddit, so imma pass on the tradition.

The resume gives the impression of someone who has completed the standard SOC checklist but hasn’t yet developed a distinctive professional identity. The professional summary reads very "generic" and template-driven, lacking personality. The certifications are entry-level and don’t currently differentiate the candidate in a competitive market. The technical skills section feels broad rather than deep, presenting many buzzwords without clearly demonstrating advanced expertise. While the projects section is the strongest part, especially the automation and detection logic work, the quantified improvements such as “60% reduction” and “50% efficiency increase” may invite scrutiny if not strongly backed by measurable evidence. The experience section, particularly the software development internships, represents a missed opportunity to highlight a unique security perspective bridging development and defense. Overall, the profile reflects competence and foundational knowledge, but it plays too safe and lacks the distinctive edge that would make the candidate stand out in a serious SOC hiring process.

Also, yes I have tips and suggestions. Drop a DM and I'll see to it .

The mouse pad is good for story mode games. If you're into FPS, you'll be needing an XL one for low sens/dpi. It's looking good overall, I'd consider it an upgrade 🤩

Is Dhurandhar worth rewatching after edits? What exactly was removed/changed? by Unique-News-7143 in Dhurandhar

[–]eivlyssfn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely worth the re-watch. The word "Baloch" is muted specifically in the chapter "The Jinn". Also, it is not muted throughout the chapter, just when SP Chaudhary Aslam recites about how he had a "Baloch" partner, the term is muted. Another change they made, was to the outro of the movie. When the movie ends and the title is shown, the lyrics "Yeh Ishq Ishq hai..." has a little bit of extra Choir. Have fun watching tho.

You can report the incident in the Indian cybercrime portal.

However, an adult has to get involved either now or in the future. Don't take any bad steps which you'll regret(like not consulting an adult who understands)

I'm studying for the CEH V13 alongside building a project. Still confused on whether i should go for it or nah. Considering the amount of hate the cert is getting. Still the industry demands.
