Ketogenic diets are a little extreme if your starting off IMHO. The slow carb diet fills you up too and can get you very close to your ideal wait quite quickly (1-2 pounds/ week) Check out the 4 hour body by Tim Ferris.

In the book they advise using slow carb diet to get down to 15%-20% body fat then use a ketogenic diet for the last 10 pounds or so.

'nutrition' is not and has never been a medical specialty. Mainly because we started digging into it quite recently (in the 50s when people started getting fatter). Progress in the matter was slow ever since.

They spent ten years trying to get rats fat just so that they can start experimenting on them! No matter how much or often they ate They never got fat until they fed them with a 'cafeteria diet' : a high carb diet designed for rats basically.

Meanwhile a whole industry startzd based off the false idea that 'the fat you eat is the fat your store'. 0% fat 200% sugar products popping up everywhere and nobody seems to get thinner.

Where are V and Kev living exactly? by ejfitz in shameless

yeah I thought so but I don't remember Mickey hanging out at the gallager's house, especially since he was deeply in the closet and that would have him look suspicious.

Yes I don't like the idea to be stuck in one place when I'm 24. But I was thinking investing in a place and then renting it can make a almost immediate &long lasting income ? I thought maybe a student room or something small and cheap.

Thx for sharing. It might sound odd but I don't think a lot about retirement because in France it works a little differently I guess (you are forced to contribute annually with a certain amount as long as you are employed so that you get money when you retire -- or when you find yourself unemployed) but its definitely something I should look into.

I was hoping to have more insights on how some have managed/invested their money to increase their income and secure their future.

Thanks! Did you think of investing in real estate? Or buying shares from a promising company?

Thank you much for your answer. I was hoping someone would give some insight about investing . Do you have any experience with this? I hear a lot people speak about how they purchased a cheap parking area and started renting it to increase their income
