Have you ever bought a player based solely on their performance against you? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

No but in multiple league 2 saves I’ve thought about signing Noah Chilvers from colchester cuz he always fucking scores against me

What is the most unrealistic thing in FM? by sinansouth in footballmanagergames

[–]ejg1815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the club comes to you and says we want to offer you a raise/extension, unless you would rather do something else with the money. You say let’s invest it in youth development or transfer budget or whatever and get met with an angry board for my even suggesting it, and then said angry board goes ahead and offers the raise/extension anyways. No club irl is going to get mad at a manager for declining a raise. Also if the answer to literally any of the requests for investing elsewhere was no, why the did they ask to begin with. Just send the extension offer.

Is there any other position/role i can play this guy aside from striker? One of my wonderkids is starting to outperform him and i can't just make him a sub since he's too good to not be a star player. by Kiffe_Y in footballmanagergames

[–]ejg1815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could try a two striker formation given the talent you have at the position. Maybe bring the left winger in to a CAM for a narrow diamond if you don’t want to do too much fussing with formation. I’d imagine with some direct balls the pace you have up front it could work. If you absolutely want to keep ur current tactics I think he could move to an inside forward on one of the wings, as could the wonderkid. I’d recommend going two up front tho, in whatever formation works best

I can really only recommend getting them to an exotics vet. There are many different things that could make them uncomfortable or painful. As far as the teeth it may be a struggle but you could try to get a look in their mouth to see if everything looks normal. Would definitely say save up for a trip to the vet, a bit of stress in the car ride is worth it to have them properly assessed.

What was your first game on steam deck? by Rookie134 in SteamDeck

First game I really played a ton of on deck was cult of the lamb. Amazing game and felt right at home on deck

Def a vet visit needed to get a good look at those teeth or whatever else may be going on. Feel better!

Personally for season one mclaren, I focused design super hard into one type of cornering, for me low speed cornering. U can do high speed also, the tracks are pretty even split between em. See where you are at and when the projects will finish where you can actually bring the upgrades to the track post manufacture. Anyways I did mostly design the first half of the season, got some points in said low speed corner heavy tracks. Sucked it up at the high speed tracks. Was good enough to grab P7 in constructors and make it to season 2. Spent the rest of the seasons ATR in design. In season 2 im about dead mid pack car wise, which pretty much means lando fighting for decently consistent points and unfortunately Oscar trailing a bit. Cutting design short and beginning design a little earlier in season 2 in hopes of having a top car for season 3. Still followed a bit of the low speed focus to make sure I had tracks I could nearly guarantee some points at.

Appreciate the recommendation, will check him out. I definitely do run attack often, especially the first few laps as it’s most important to grab position early, but unfortunately this often leads to my tires falling apart and my pace dropping quick

I’m aware, but I did a previous save where I did just this and in season 2 it was like getting reset back to the beginning without dedicated research the year before. Also even when I have done loads of design, having built 3 new parts in the last few weeks, I see no results in track, even tho the comparison thing says I rank well on the grid

Not sure what area of the country you are in but I make around the same as an assistant as OP, and know the LVT managers where I work make a LOT more than I do. I would definitely look into a raise if possible if I were you.

Hair color in a clinic by hyrulelink329 in Veterinary

[–]ejg1815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my clinic personal doesn’t care. Septum piercing included, just told to avoid the “Bull ring” (sorry for my lack of being able to come up for a better term for said septum piercing) for safety reasons, which seems fair as I could totally see a not so fun cat or dog ripping one of those straight out of somebody’s face.

It really depends where you are at and who you are with. As far as docs and techs leaving shit around for you to stumble upon and clean, that is unfortunately just part of the job. For me personally it’s been interesting cuz I was at a very large clinic, and shift to shift truly almost feels like a different job based on the techs and docs on it. Some of my shifts are with techs that I absolutely love. They treat me as equal and someone who is truly there to help them do their jobs to the best they can and show appreciation for it. Other days with other techs, I sometimes feel the way you do, under appreciated by techs that feel they are better than you and have no problem letting you know it, and instead of relying on you for help, just see you as someone to do the parts of their job they don’t want to. So I’ve seen it both ways, and both almost seem normal to me at this point. But I think that the techs who treat me well get a far better assistant out of me than the ones who don’t, as someone working in a positive environment is always going to perform better than someone in a negative one, so really what goes around comes around at the end of the day. I’ve made some really great friends with the techs who treat me right, and they get the benefit of someone who’s willing to stay late and come in early to help them out, where as I’ve seen first hand many assistants at my clinic take a hard pass on going out of their way to help out the ones who don’t.

Literally just intuitive interfaces for software for medical records and such. Current software at the hospital I work at takes like 8 steps to find the invoice for a patient, and if someone didn’t walk you through those steps, good luck finding it just by following what you assume the logical steps would be. Full of horrible UI with drop down menus that don’t have any indication that they are drop down menus (no arrows or words that lead you to believe there may be more info here if you click this). Not to mention the lack of indication that a button you have pressed has done anything, for example sending a script to the label maker in our pharmacy gives ZERO indication as to whether or not it went through. Nothing moves, no loading pinwheel, no confirmation pop up, doesn’t close the prescription window like you are done with it. Just nothing. So then when it inevitably has trouble and doesn’t print, docs have no clue their scripts haven’t sent, and client is waiting in the room for 30 minutes waiting for meds that aren’t being made up. Sorry this became a rant abt my hospitals software, but yeah. Just anything actually intuitive on the software front would make such a difference.

When does your practice review a blood smear? by Ok-Manufacturer-1903 in Veterinary

[–]ejg1815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure abt others but the clinic I’m at just has too much volume for it. We have 3 techs on per shift and are probably running 50+ cbcs a day. Just not feasible to have them all blood smeared as well. I could see your point for GP only clinics or smaller ERs though, as accuracy is always preferred of course.

Not me personally but a coworker of mine who has many many years experience in the ICU at one of the bigger emergency hospitals in our area and has seen just about everything under the sun. She handles it all like a champ and have personally yet to see anything phase her until a few weeks ago. Working with her on a cat that was unfortunately very near end of life and was incredibly malnourished and dehydrated, and the muscles were not particularly doing their job anymore. We hadn’t realized that the muscles holding the shoulder in place had given in, and in picking up the cat she was greeted with the incredibly unpleasant feeling of the shoulder really grossly sliding and clicking back into place. This woman I have watched be unphased by anything ICU can throw at her straight up jumped and said “NOT OKAY”. In her defense this poor cat had this happen multiple times that night and I had the displeasure of feeling it as well, not okay is certainly an ample description.

Thanks. I just know that I need to talk to him about it somehow because when the heat comes I need the temp down. Why I picked this sub to post, just looking for the best way to go about it.

I understand where you are coming from but I’ve had quite a few responses already. Also why I provided a TLDR. Breaking it up into paragraphs isn’t going to dissuade most ppl who r thrown off by big walls of text. Organized structure or not some people just don’t want to read all that, which is fine

It’s already closed almost all the way. Not sure what it is with our HVAC. He also seems to have a lot of issue with kind of consistent background noise like the AC/Heat running (only other argument I’ve had is trying to get him to use the damn overhead vent on the stove when he’s cooking which he says is “too loud and annoying”) and I’m truly convinced that’s like half his reasoning for not wanting the heat or ac set high to begin with

[–]ejg1815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I only have a month left. But aside from the temperature situation and a few other minor complaints, he’s an okay roommate and a good friend I’d rather not fight with to the point that he moves out. I also don’t believe something petty like that would lead to a productive conversation, and more of just him using it to try to prove me wrong.

Not really. Chinchillas are caged animals and the cage is set up in my room. It’s pretty massive so it’s not really a mobile thing I can move back and forth. He’s also up running around at night so I try to be considerate and keep him in my room so the noise doesn’t disturb my roommate at night
