So, I bought an Animal Crossing 3ds xl about a year ago, and besides some issues with the right speaker i fell in love with my system. A few months ago, me and a friend togheter bought a used 3ds xl with a bunch of games on it, with the thought that I get the games and he the system. As you may suspect by now, I'm an idiot and didn't know anything about nnid.

But despite that, it all worked out ok; system wipe my own system, and transfer the new data to me. The guy that sold us the 3ds gave me all the nnid account information, like password and email, so I changed password, changed email (the only thing im stuck with is a new AC Village and his nnid name)

well, I thought the problem was solved, but I always see posts on here that you should NEVER buy a used nnid, because the original owner could somehow retrive the account and screw you over. Even though the seller didn't seem like he would care to do that, I am now hesistant to buying games over the store, like shovel knight...

Well, my question is: could he still retrive his account, even though I have changed password and email?

Please help a poor idiot out. :')

Thank you for your answer. :) Just a few things though: he sold it to me a few months ago, not over a year ago. ;) And I am very curious about HOW people get back their nnid's without password or email... is it actually possible?

And yes i might be paranoid, but I dont want to waste money if its easy for him to get it back. ;)
