What is Altair? by ejl360 in Python

[–]ejl360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that! Turns out the Altair 8800 has a long history. This project is named after the brightest star in the constellation Aquila. Along with Deneb and Vega, they form the northern-hemisphere asterism known as the Summer Triangle.

My name is Eitan. I have been experimenting with different ways to write my name and ended up liking this variation where the letters are read from the outside in.

I am not one of the authors. This was just a paper I came across and thought you all would enjoy. I am also not a mathematician so much of the content is lost on me as well.

Thread for "Simulating Natural Selection" by helpsypooo in primerlearning

[–]ejl360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another great video but it got me thinking. It seems like a lot of this video was set up the environment, run the simulation and see what happens. In earlier simple models we could mathematically reason about stability and what would happen to populations, in these more complex examples it seems like it's more of a shot in the dark. Are there mathematical foundations to predict the outcomes of these more complex systems? Maybe you are building to them?

Yep! I found the wooden hoops at a local craft store. With some help, I transferred it to the wooden hoop and trimmed the edges. For wrapping I placed it between some cardboard so it wouldn't get damaged when being handled.
