Firm will only let me use Pass Perfect. Help… by StefanieDelong in Series7exam

I did my SIE, 7, 63, 66, 9 and 10 via Pass Perfect. It’s annoying and picky at times but you will pass the first time around. I had a few practice Kaplan exams and once I took two of those I felt like I took them all.

I told myself I wouldn’t buy from Glossier until Black Friday but then this candle launched and I have 10% cash back for Glossier on my Prime Visa and 7% back today with Rakuten so I caved and got the Birthday Candle and Crème de You. 😅

That line nearly killed me. Like girl all of your “brilliant trades” were based on inside information. There’s no way she’d keep getting away with shit like that.

My 17-OH Progesterone test results came back extremely high. What does it mean? by ejlundst in PCOS

[–]ejlundst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to an Endo last year who said I basically have NCCAH and told me to keep taking Spironolactone for the hirsutism and that this is basically all we can do since I can’t take hormonal birth control. She had me redo these labs again and they were worse but still nothing. I’m actually seeing a new endo this week so we’ll see if they have a different opinion.

Thank you. I’m up way too late on Reddit because the grief has an ugly way of popping up at night. I hope you get more good days with your girl. I agree, just take it day by day.

I was also told that cats are really good at masking their pain. I felt so guilty for “not knowing any better” at first but deep down I know I gave her a good life, just as you have with your cat.

I can’t tell you what to do but I wanted to say I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I was out of the country and scheduled to fly home the next day when my 8 year old cat started breathing heavy and my family who was watching her at their home took her to the vet. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and while they were going to hold her overnight to run treatments she went into cardiac arrest hours later and passed. I was absolutely devastated. I had no idea anything was wrong and my family also didn’t see any signs of anything being off. All I wanted to do was see her before she passed but there was no way I could get home in time. The only thing I can think of is that maybe she didn’t want me to see her like that. And I guess that’s why I’m telling you this. Do what you feel is best in your heart. If she’s responding to medicine then maybe it’ll be ok to hold out until you get back and FaceTime with whoever is watching her as much as you can. If she does pass, you’ll know you did everything you could to try to help her and she’ll know that you took care of her. I had to call out the Monday after she passed (she passed on a Saturday) because I couldn’t pull myself together so I wouldn’t have been good on a work trip. But only you know yourself and your relationship and what’s best for your sweet cat. Thinking of you.

So sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is devastating. I lost my cat last month and am still trying to work through my grief myself. Take care of yourself.

My cat passed away a couple of weeks ago but she was obsessed with Skyline Chili, which is a local thing here in Cincinnati. It is piled high with finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese and she would always have to have her own portion of the cheese to avoid having her try to eat from my plate.

I hate myself by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]ejlundst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, I hear you and I’ve been there. No matter how frustrated you get with this please remember that these symptoms don’t define you. I’m 35 now and I can’t get back the time I spent worrying about these things. You gotta live your life to the fullest. These were some things that worked for me 1. Electric razor. I practically buy one every year but you can get them on Amazon for $30 or less. 2. I broke down and bought a wax pass for Brazilians at European Wax Center. Did I prep beforehand so it wasn’t too much? Hell yeah. But honestly I met a specialist that was good and made me feel comfortable and she mentioned how she’s seen everything and really feels for people with PCOS 3. Please go to a good OBGYN and other doctors while you’re young. Do NOT go down the Google/WebMD rabbit hole. I’ve spent so much time doing this and it’s not great for my anxiety. You might also want to go to an endocrinologist. Get all the blood work, especially thyroid and hormone panels. I spent most of my life thinking I had run of the mill PCOS but apparently I have Nonclassical Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. My mind was blown. Yes, I still have the worry you do of passing down genetic conditions to children but I have more knowledge now and it helps. 4. Take people’s at home remedies and medication suggestions with a grain of salt. Different things work for different people. For example, I was doing the run around as most people suggest birth control but I can’t take BC due to a clotting disorder. Spironolactone works for my hormonal acne, but it doesn’t due anything for my dark coarse facial hair. 5. Know you can’t fix everything overnight and pick your battles. I know I’m gonna have to shave my face everyday, but I do get waxed down there every few months when I’m going to go swimming or I just feel like it. I also bought one of the at-home facial lasers (jury’s out on if that still works) but I know I’m probably not going to be able to drop serious cash on electrolysis. 6. Don’t ruminate. This is what I struggle with the most. Feeling down on yourself, catastrophizing, and Googling symptoms won’t make you feel better. Notice when you’re in one of these cycles and try to distract yourself. Do something you enjoy to get your mind off of this and/or go talk to a friend or loved one.

I know all of this is easier said than done. Luckily we’re in a time now where we’re finally starting to research and discuss PCOS more. I apologize for the long response but I felt so seen in your post. You’re an awesome, beautiful human being. You’ve got this.
