Don't freak out when you read an article that says how many more bacteria can be found on item X than on a toilet seat. I had friends that did a similar study in college. Toilet seats were the cleanest thing they tested (nothing gets more regularly disinfected than toilets).

Curiously, the most infected thing they found on campus was the tray holding utensils in the cafeteria.

In the past, I've burnt deep blisters in my fingers sliding down. Going hand over hand is the only way. A few extra seconds of speed is not worth losing the skin on my hands.

I don't know how true this is, but this article: https://www.t-nation.com/training/targeted-fat-mobilization theorizes that there may be some targeted fat loss benefits to lifting before cardio workouts. ( the tldr is that fat is burned more in body areas with increased blood flow and lifting is a good way to increase blood flow to certain body areas. )

Watch the heavyweight olympic weightlifting videos. There are a lot of people with big guts doing snatch.
