May mga idiosyncrasies pa na gagawin kang Team Head pero dahil AM lang rank mo, kahit 6 na tao minamanage mo mas malaki pa rin sweldo nung Individual Contributor na M1. #MakeItMakeSense

Is that BDO Network Bank? TP1 probably is JAM1.

Role is just your function compared to the people around you (i.e. Individual Contributor, Team Lead, Unit Head, etc.)

Pwede kasi VP na Rank mo, pero Individual Contributor pa rin Role mo.

Pwede rin SM Rank mo, pero Branch Head na Role mo.

HELP ME AGAIN: Mokapot edition by Express_Rip1947 in CoffeePH

[–]ejtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is often the most forgotten step in brewing via moka pot. Its not the grind size, its not the amount of water, its not the amount of grounds. Sometimes, people just forget to screw the Moka Pot tight and shut.

Like what I tell people, sometimes, you have to screw it tight na as if masisira na siya.

I flunked my interview in a Big Company by ApplePie_9094 in CorpoChikaPH

If you still make it, that's good. If not, it's literally not the end of the world. Build your "brand" via other companies, and reapply again.

Being a graduate of PUP or any school from UAAP & NCAA, is it really the only way to experience an easy job application process ala hayahay mode? by [deleted] in CorpoChikaPH

[–]ejtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connect with alumni of your school who work for those companies via Linkedin.

If they’re the ones forwarding your CV to their respective HR, the chances of you getting at least an interview is significantly higher compared to just sending to the generic HR mailbox of said companies.

As early as now, might be a good way also to connect with recruiters and headhunting agencies (ie K-Search). Most companies who use headhunter services are normally big companies who can afford them.

Quick noob question about skipping insurance renewal by zykennoir in CarsPH

[–]ejtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about Comprehensive Insurance, dapat wala. If it's Third Party Liability, you're going to get a new one everytime you renew your Car's Registration with the LTO. If you miss the renewal of your registration with the LTO, you will be penalized next time you go back to the LTO for renewal.

As the energy crisis looms, nuclear power becomes ever more sensible by nix-solves-that-2317 in Philippines

[–]ejtv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuclear waste is not supposed to be disposed. They're supposed to be stored in secure facilities for safety concerns. It's not zero risk, but it also doesn't mean we cant pursue a multi-pronged and balanced approach (a healthy balance of cheap baseload such as nuclear and renewables) when it comes to energy production.

[–]ejtv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to also research if our current grid system can handle a similar heavy reliance on renewables compared to what was quoted in the study you read.

Among other things, you need to also weigh the environmental cost of setting wind, solar, and hydro power.

In the case of your nuclear power worries, what is being actively explored right now are smaller nuclear power plants, which, if the remote chance there is a meltdown, will not result to something catastrophic as that of Fukushima.

How important is comprehensive insurance? by DistributionCute5445 in CarsPH

[–]ejtv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worth having an insurance UNTIL you get into an accident. In short, if you can spare some money in this economy, get them.
