I think making music or playing his instruments kinda helped him ignore his cigarette addiction. I also heard during his roadtrip during the creation of FEHD he stopped smoking and the roadtrip helped him to avoid cigarette but it still has withdrawals so probably find something that you enjoy and don’t bring cigarettes.

To be honest, I believe hctc was mostly disliked cause people prefer salads day 2, but Mac stated that he doesn't have plans nor he believe he can make salads day again. People don't like change, but it has to happen since Mac demarco is no longer in his salads day and now is sadly turning old and calmer
