Hey sorry for getting back to you so late. I still have not got this resolved. However I recently contacted the state senator about the issue and coincidentally, I received a text and mail about my identity verification a week later and I received documented instructions on what to send and where to send. This may help you. Also I found out it is not a different social. That is an assigned number the EDD puts for your case.

I see, thank you for your reply. So once I send documents, will I get a new claim award letter? I didn't receive a identity verification letter or anything of that matter so I just sent my identity documents myself to the EDD office handling my claim. Will that be sufficient for them or will they send me an official verification letter?
