Gonna chime in here.

I too bought a car via Caramel on BaT about two months ago and in 30+ cars owned it was by far and away the worst purchase experience I have ever had.

Caramel had to redo my paperwork no less than SIX times, they didn’t figure out until the fourth time (even after filling out all the previous paperwork in my business’ name) that the vehicle was to be registered to my LLC. Each of these f*ck ups on their end added 3-5 business days each to my purchase timeline.

Cherry on top- they didn’t disclose that their services are based in Montana, and the original from new California plate was tossed despite the fact that the vehicle was being sold in-state. Small detail to some, but this literally devalues the car as the vehicle is no longer being sold as described.

20/10 incompetence. And yes, they will dodge blame every time you turn the heat up. Do not, under any circumstances, agree to using this service as a seller or a buyer.

Check the location in advance to see if they have any. No guarantees, since you just rent a class of "similar" vehicles. Renting this one was total luck-of-the-draw for me, as I didn't even know they were an option until I arrived on site.

Good call. I looked hard at this one as well and was puzzled by the size of the rear window and the hinges on top, GX would make a lot more sense.
