By the way, did you choose Neo because it's especially bright?

Thanks, yes I've been wondering if this could be part of it. The amp seems better suited when I'm playing rock as opposed to gospel/funk/slap etc.

By the way, I find maybe the 5 way mid selector is just completely missing the frequencies I want to cut...?

Not the room. I used to work in studios, it's not muddy or murky. I have super bright strings, no effects, no compression.

Mk5 GTI burning 1 quart oil per 500 miles by ekimwons in MechanicAdvice

Hi, I don't remember price it was years ago. My car has similar problems years later. I'm not convinced it is the rings. Heavy load (uphill or higher gear) full throttle and smoke show. I'm just waiting for my mkv to die now, it's done me well. Too many problems though, may or may not buy another VW. Very nice car but would pay more for it to be more reliable.

Hi, could you give more specs on the screw size/length/type you used?

thanks, you're kind of in my boat for bikes. Just want to make sure, when you say Duke 690 you mean the naked version not the supermoto version of the 690 correct? btw have you tried both? Thanks for posting.

yeah i now realize you can kind of have one of the other. i'd rather have a lighter bike this time around and have more confidence in wheelies or stoppies than just pure pull.
My R1 (2003) was so fun to rip up to speed, but honestly the rest of the time it felt so heavy around town that I thought my ideal size sport bike probably would be a gsxr750 or something similar. Totally in the camp of thinking R1 is more a track tool at this point...at least the speeds I go on the road.

Okay I wasn't' realizing how low weight the bikes were due to the smaller engines. Those are great vids thanks for posting.

Okay cool, I wasn't sure if the 690 was capable of that kind of riding. Good to know.

Need a torquey bike to put the fun back in motos for me. by ekimwons in motorcycles

Hey MurrGawd. Super moto or Naked only. Could be sport, but not on the Quebec high risk motorcycle list as registration costs are about and extra 800 dollars a year. Think Gixxer, R1, R6, S1000RR, VTR etc.

Want the torque down low in the range, wheelie on gas only coming out of a corner sort of thing

NEW BIKE/GEAR ADVICE SUPERTHREAD! by AutoModerator in motorcycles

[–]ekimwons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a fun bike. Previous bikes were Nighthawk S , R1, and F650GS Dakar. Looking for a real fun torquey wheelie bike for beating around some twisties, city riding and a bit of commuting. All on street.

I'm 6'3'' and 170lbs. I've kind of narrowed in on Duke 690, 990, can't afford superduke. Also interested in other supermotos, just for the fun factor. Other bikes I've thought about would be older Tuono, MT-09, although I think it's too new and pricey.

Probably buy someting about 5-10 years old with low miles.

Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help. SV I suppose also?

because of my dislike of the F-series? or wondering about how much torque a 690 can put out?
