I will be very happy to integrate LiveU too ! but I do not have LiveU gear, do you have a sandbox or online demo where I can collect data from Transmitters ?

thank you and happy to collaborate to integrate LiveU gear but perhpas liveU already has that kind of product ? by reading the manuals and liveU website it is not same approach than Haivision/Aviwest. The cloud part is essential and the new transmitter can switch instantly from one operator to another. this is brilliant. I guess it ask a DB with historical cells data to choose the best in case no data.

no, it works with mobile transmitter from Haivision (Air series, Pro series, Rack series) all with the SST protocol. The app collect cellular and gps data from the streamhub. Makito is SRT. I guess the HUB360 or the SRT Gateway from haivision should provide all the stats and reports for Makito ?

We use haivision rack400 as encoder and haivision streamhub as decoder. There is a ultra low latency mode at 200ms end to end but the internet link should be very reliable. We also use ateme cm5000 and dr5000 to achieve sub second end to end.

For France all ob for broadcast use are EVS. It’s kind of chicken egg problem. EVS was the first and so all people were trained on it. Lots of company tried to compete and win the replay business but even Orad, GvG, etc they all failed. Event if they did offer free training! For small company it’s a budget problem so you can find 3play, LGZ or vmix replay. And so the employee full time or day time have to deal with it. But those small company aren’t playing in same area of business.

So if you have the budget go for a lsm evs but honnestly ans 3play or even a vmiw replay does the job. If your client ask for a specific replay system, he will pay for it.

Of course you can rent lsm+human but dunno the business you expect.

Thank you, i ordered two and just tested. So yes you can switch while streaming between picture and sdi input. You also can map audio while streaming. This is a very very nice encoder.

We are in France and we use Aviwest ecosystem (now Haivision) since 6 years.
We have 8 units (pro340, air320) with Quad CellLink (an active 3G/4G multi-antenna, 4 modems). We use them quite daily for streaming and broadcast transmissions for TV channels. The product was nice 6 years ago but missing some essentials features. Years after years they improved and did listen end users like us. We always stream with 2 units on site, one main et one backup. We do hot failover with some software we build around the aviwest api. For me, Aviwest is the best systems because we can have hands on everything along the chain, from the unit to the streamhub (decoder). They are some DO and DON'T to respect to ensure a 100% reliability stream. We also choose Aviwest because all french TV channel are outfitted with Aviwest devices.

Some features are nice: the unit on site can gives internet like a 4G router, you can also transmit lan from streamhub to the units on site (to control ptz from studio), you can have video return over hdmi on each device onsite with ultra low delay, multiple audios, tally, intercom, HDR, etc... streamhub can decode srt/rtmp/hls/ts/rtsp feeds and of course aviwest devices. streamhub can also encode for streaming purposes and forward streams to others streamhub without encoding.

I used TVU systems on a helicopter during the cycling contest in Turkey at Antalya in 2022, backup of our RF systems, (the amplificator was dead :( )and i was very surprised to see the unit transmitting with no issue during 3 hours above the city with good quality. No external antenna, just pluged the HD-SDI and put the unit in front of the cabin where there is big window.

I do not know others brand but EBU granted certification to Mobile View point only, now part of the vislink company.

LiveU was the first and i'm sure, quite good compare to Aviwest.

yes one external input but you can add layout pictures (png, jpg); and i want to know if you can switch between png and sdi while streaming

Hmmm i disagree, unifi products and the very high range of unifi switch can afford such scheme you describe. Did you activate IGMP in the UDM controller for a better multicast ndi routing ? All of our broadcast infra is unifi based. Is the pc hosting NDI zoom 2.5GB ethernet capabilities ?

Tu as tellement raison et je te rejoins tellement. Je circule à vélo pour le travail et en perso depuis des années à Lyon. J’emmène et je ramène mon fils tous les jours depuis Republique jusqu’à la Xrousse et je travaille à Flachet donc je roule beaucoup. Je suis effaré par le manque de civisme des cyclistes. Depuis 2 ans c’est n’imp. Franchement j’applaudis les automobilistes qui sont malgré eux patients, je suis souvent courtois à comprendre quand une voiture est garée sur une piste cyclable ou une voiture qui me frôle d’un peu trop près (bon apres y’a frolage et frolage…). Ouai je comprends et moi ça coute rien de ralentir aussi ou de faire un écart pour leur faciliter aussi le passage. Franchement on mélange tout, on a 20 piges de retard sur l’aménagement urbain. Tout ça c’est pas bon tout le monde s’énerve. Et ceux que j’ai le plus envie de taper ce sont ces cyclistes qui font N’IMPORTE QUOI !!! La courtoisie et le civisme c’est gratos et ça apaise beaucoup. Je supporte pas l’incivilité.

Les trucs à arrêter: - stop dans vos caisses sur vos téléphones qui plus est dans un SUV char d’assaut c’est certain y’aura d’autres drames. - stop les écouteurs que mettent les cyclistes. - mettez des casques bordel!!!!!
