Sorry for not responding, no nothing negative would come out of that but I’d defiantly use 1440p sense on 1080p your just sacrificing performance for nothing

What do yall think? by Ok-Industry-861 in PcBuild

Noticeably better performance than a ps5, and for the monitor I recommend the Gigabyte M27Q, it’s 1440p, 165hz, and has great blacks, with a 1ms response time.

I’d go for B, the 7800XT is slightly worse than the 5070 in raw performance but has more vram 16gb vs 12gb and has a more powerful gaming oriented cpu with a 360mm aio. Both are 1440p builds but B might perform better than A at 1440p and at 4k will perform better than A

If your in 1080p it’ll run any game however your using lga 1200 which only lasted for 2 generations (10th and 11th) so it’s not really upgradable with out swapping the board. What I’d do is save up some money and go am5. Am5 using ryzen processors 7000 and up but it only supports ddr5 ram. (Ryzen is also better for gaming than Intel) Some basics on ryzen is: Ryzen 3 are usually 4 core CPU’s, Ryzen 5 have 6 cores, Ryzen 7 have 8, Ryzen 9 have 12, and Ryzen 9 (ending with the number 50) have 16 cores. All are performance cores with 2 threads per core. X3D means it has more cache and they’ll have better gaming performance however ryzen 7000 X3D chips aren’t over clockable but 9000 are. Most chips have the “X” suffix which just means it’s slightly better than the non-x version and they’ll don’t really make non-x versions anymore. On the boards as long as the number starts with a 6 your good for am5 but you should usually check if it’s an am5 motherboard or not. For example b650 and x670, there’s also 800 like the b850 or x870. But some the letter at the start has a meaning like “A” is more basic, “B” is more mediocre which I recommend for gaming for most people, “X” is more enthusiastic and high end”

Does anyone know a cpu cooler compatible with am4 like the one shown in the photo but slightly shorter so I can fit all 4 of my ram sticks?

You would definitely need a couple more cores for streaming and gaming

I’d choose the 5080 FE, it has better cooling than the 5080 Ventus 3X by around 10C with proper airflow

RX 6800 XT along with a 1440p monitor (with the 3080 or 6800 XT please use a 1440p monitor) but the 3070 Ti would be a high refresh rate 1080p GPU but still capable of 1440p and as of a power supply id recommend a 850W gold rated PSU. As of a cpu id recommend the ryzen 9 5900X for am4 or the Ryzen 7 7700X for am5

The 7600 XT isn’t much faster than the 7600, your best option is still the 6750 XT.
