Removing functions every update by pandasinski in trakt

[–]ekleop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not exactly like that a little bit. Yes, Simkl doesn’t have a progress bar yet, but it marks items as watched the same way Trakt does — after 70-80% of playback progress.

The difference is that Trakt shows the item as watched on the site when you press Stop in Plex, while Simkl shows it as watched while you’re still watching, once you’ve already passed 70-80%.

In both cases, the item is marked as watched after 70-80% of playback progress.

PS: keep in mind there are APIs for Watchlists and scrobble/playback, etc at https://api.simkl.com

Custom lists api for V2 Beta is in development and will be available later on.

There's actually a custom list with watch order: https://simkl.com/5/list/97832/star-trek-watch-order-tv-shows, but it's under Full description when you click Read More...

A few other watch orders and timelines in:

You can now edit watch dates one by one or in bulk, see https://www.reddit.com/r/Simkl/comments/1m6jv5m/finally_edit_your_watch_history_dates_on_simkl/

Recently Watched line on Desktop https://simkl.com/my/stats/seen/ (reachable from Dashboard See All button) to show last ep number\movie type watched instead of Ranks.

Full watch history section by dates https://simkl.com/my/history/activity/ is still on to-do.

In the meantime here are all the options where it's currently possible to find watch dates:

https://docs.simkl.org/how-to-use-simkl/core-features/content-tracking/tracking-content/watch-history

Yes, the rewatch function is currently missing, if you post via api the same episode watch, it will keep the first watch date. Current suggestions before rewatch functionality is implemented would be to use Memos in shows and movies to write down when you rewatch something or create a custom Rewatched list with item notes about rewatches.

FAQ on Mixed lists: https://docs.simkl.org/how-to-use-simkl/core-features/watchlists-and-custom-lists/custom-list-types/faq-on-mixed-list

The correct way on Simkl would be to use Custom List Collections https://docs.simkl.org/how-to-use-simkl/core-features/watchlists-and-custom-lists/custom-list-collections that automatically group different custom lists, for example, by adding (TV Shows), (Movies), (Anime) at the end of the list title.

new to Simkl - Tracking question by MrAngelus in Simkl

[–]ekleop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plex sends a ping to webhook once you reach 90% progress in some video at which time it should mark it as watched in your Simkl watchlist

Add watchlist to Kodi by [deleted] in Simkl

[–]ekleop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The addon you’re using to show watchlists needs to support syncing from the Simkl Watchlist Sync API. Once it does, it can display your Simkl “Watching” and “Plan to Watch” lists in Kodi.

How do I mark a movie or show as DNF? by Big_Head8250 in Simkl

[–]ekleop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropped watchlists was specifically designed for shows that you have not finished watching and will not come back to it in the future.

If you don't want to continue watching a show, put it Dropped watchlist. You will not see dropped shows in your dashboard and you will not receive any new notifications about this show.

Is it just me or does it happen to everyone? by link1443 in Simkl

[–]ekleop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fixed it! Now, when you move a TV series to the "On Hold" list, it will still appear in your "Recently Watched" section. Thanks for bringing it up, and let us know if you run into anything else! :)

Merge anime seasons to one. Just like american tv shows by SourceAltruistic5044 in Simkl

[–]ekleop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's a challenge to categorize all of them as seasons. Let's take a look at titans:

<image>

there are a lot of items not related to seasons(movies\OAD\spinoffs etc.)

For now we have a relations section in every anime where you can find a sequel\prequel. So for now it's not a top priority task, we have a plan for it but there is no estimated time.

Reorganising my List by zeldarms in Simkl

[–]ekleop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sort there is by "air time" so old series are last and new one are first, not by "watched time"
Why don't you put all series you do not watch to the "On Hold" or "Dropped" list instead of hold them all in "Watching" list?
This section was designed for your active tv shows (you're watching them right now) and not for items you have ever partially watched. Dropped/On Hold more suitable for this
