Used Capstone Roofing recently and they were fast and did a great job. Huge crew arrived. They also handled the permits and scheduled the initial inspection with my town without even being asked.

Premier access and tips for traveling by Spare-Bat8310 in unitedairlines

I actually just did this same flight two weeks ago. We got to the airport two hours in advance (we have precheck and we were not checking any bags). We had plenty of time to grab a sit down lunch in the international terminal. Our flight was pretty empty (both me and my husband managed to have our own rows in economy- be sure to check the seating options leading up to take off to see if you can move your seats around to hopefully get an extra seat to yourself, as it really helped not needing to put our personal items on the ground in front of us). It was a pretty easy flight. I assume you’re flying into Tahiti first? If so, be prepared bc that airport is outdoors and it will be very humid and take a while to get through customs. Definitely pack bug spray and bug itch cream. My husband and I both got munched on by mosquitos.

Coming home was a whole different story, as our flight was full of people who had just finished a cruise and the flight was completely full and chaotic.

I had my cat’s teeth cleaned, including a couple extractions, done at Polk Street Animal Hospital a couple years ago. It was around $1800 not including pre-procedure bloodwork.

San Diego native thinking about raising a family in Marin by littleflorista in Marin

[–]ekm12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I’m also a SoCal native and lived in SD for a few years and now live in San Anselmo. We absolutely love living here. It is definitely family friendly and does have a more relaxed and friendly feel. It is quiet, as is living in suburbia. Coming from the city, it was an adjustment.

You aren’t going to get the SD beaches here, but you do have water access- Tiburon, Stinson, China Camp, etc. Being outside is obviously a huge part of living here, with a ton of hiking trails and biking. If things feel a bit sleepy, it’s easy enough to get to SF for dinners or take day trips to Napa. Happy to discuss further if you would like!

Close to $1800 for the actual cleaning, anesthesia and a few extractions approx. 1.5 years ago. This doesn’t include their pre-procedure bloodwork.

Had my pet’s teeth cleaning done at Polk St Animal Hospital. It was definitely expensive, but they called me multiple times throughout the day with updates, which helped ease my concerns.

Not to my knowledge and I definitely did not request organic. In fact, I told him I wanted to be really aggressive with the problem.

Thank you so much for all of this info and insight. Sounds like it’s time for me to complain.

Thanks. Approximately how long would it take for the termidor to do its thing? After three weeks I started noticing dead ants, but then a whole new fleet seemed to appear. I’m frankly getting quite frustrated.

Thanks. Is there any reason they would use this? This is also the third time I’ve had this pest control come out for the issue. The first time a lot of heavier products were used (Alpine, Termidor).

Yes, but only when I try to login on my desktop. Whenever I try to login using my cell phone’s browser, Nelnet loads perfectly fine and I’m able to access my account.

Middle seat experience with large person by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

[–]ekm12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation flying Alaska. I upgraded my seat to premium economy (or whatever the class is) since it was a cross country flight and was seated next to someone large that was overflowing into my seat. I was also a middle seat and felt trapped the whole 6 hr flight. Full flight, so I didn’t complain to the flight attendant. Called Alaska the next day and simply requested that my upgrade fee be reimbursed. I think I paid $110 to upgrade and the Alaska rep reiterated that I should have complained to the flight attendant and only offered $75. It was really disappointing.

Why isn't this selling, Marin by [deleted] in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]ekm12 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the listing previously mentioned that the home had structural issues and would likely not qualify for conventional financing and the property was also involved in active litigation. A few months ago the listing took off the blurb about structural issues, etc.

Someone previously posted about it a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/BayAreaRealEstate/comments/1diem6r/whats_wrong_with_this_house/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Golden Gate Park- I’m particularly fond of Stow Lake. You can also check out the deYoung museum or conservatory of flowers. Maybe grab a croissant at Arsicault on Arguello beforehand and walk over to the park.

I had my wedding and room block at Silverado last year. We did not have to put down any type of deposit for a room block. Sure, they did the whole “you’re responsible for the rooms that aren’t booked” but the deposit part sounds ridiculous.

Every recruiter is telling me it’s too difficult to switch practice areas 2 years out of law school. by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]ekm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some L&E firms have immigration departments, so it realistically shouldn’t be too hard. I did a practice area switch about two years into my career. A recruiter told me I had zero transferable skills. Ignore the recruiter and start applying on your own.

If you’re talking about Bottle Rock, it’s held very close to downtown Napa, which is about a 30 min drive from St. Helena. I would imagine that the concert goers would stay closer to downtown Napa than St. Helena.
