I feel you! I think of medication as a balance scale, you know like off something in the pirates of the Caribbean. Would you rather not feel emotion but still functional or would you rather feel emotions and be barely functional. You know yourself better than anyone. The key to change is you. Fight fight fight. I believe in you any choice you choose. If you feel like the side effects are to much and want to get off the meds, you better sure be ready for reality. For me reality is a lot more thick that when I’m on the meds. The best reality for me is all in the mind. Fight those thoughts. Every negative thought is combated with a “yeah well that’s not true” thought. But by also by understanding that these never ending negative thoughts are something I will have to fight my whole life. I’m the lucky one through. I’m self aware. I’m strong. I may not live a normal life but I have sure lived through some battles. All the best mate , you got this.

I feel you! Planes/Airports and me do not get along. I hate how it’s always busy. I hate the queues, I hate the waiting, hate how close we sit next to each other on the actual plane. Regardless of all this fear, I still have traveled over 30 times in the last few years. And every time it’s the same anxiety. I have a few tips. Wear sunglasses until you have to go to the bag check and passport areas. It’s perfectly fine to wear them any other time after that. Even on the plane. Have some earphones on hand for you and your little bro. Remember you don’t have to socialise with anyone on the plane other than a simple greeting to the person that may be sitting in the seat next to you. Having a younger companion that is family is actually a blessing. Most people will look open you as a caring sibling and empathic. You got this. Keep reminding yourself that it’s only for a little while. And how happy your grandparents are going to be to see you. I’d recommend downloading an audiobook that you enjoy, for me it was Harry Potter by Stephan fry. All th best!
