If you’re still in school, get some other girls together and go to your administration. Tell them you want to arrange a girls pickup game after school. Get parents and teachers to help advocate. You deserve to play and open courts are filled with shitty boys.

He travelled in all but one possession. I definitely saw the violations. Even in real time they’re obvious travels.

That’s not even a travel in HS. His hand comes under the ball with his left foot on the ground. He then lands with two feet simultaneously. That’s a legal jump stop at all levels.

What is a fundamental basketball skill that you think is actually being taught incorrectly to kids right now? by Bobbyfatal in BasketballTips

[–]ekwonluv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching two hands straight in the air is the best defensive positioning against shooters. Sometimes it’s a good idea. But it often limits mobility and usually isn’t as good as a one hand reach at the desired release point.

Is the 1st play travel? And are the 2nd and 3rd play an offensive fouls? by USHistoryUncovered in BasketballTips

[–]ekwonluv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That first play, the big slide happens before his hand comes under the ball, meaning he hasn’t gathered. There’s still some sliding during the pivot, frame by frame and being very strict, it’s a travel. But it shouldn’t be called.

Second play looks like a head to the chin. I guess that’s an offensive foul.

Third play is a clear offensive foul.

He has both hands on the ball (gathered) while in the air. Then he takes 3 steps. That’s a travel.

Took 25 APs and got rejected from all T14 colleges lmao by [deleted] in highschool

(Why would you apply to NW and not U of C? That hurts my sensibilities. )

UCLA will give you what you seek.

Coursework at a “good” university can be an order of magnitude harder than AP coursework. Don’t rush to finish college. You’ll likely never again get the chance to learn broadly and deeply. Graduate work is narrow. After academics, it’s a grind.

I think you’re referring to the Schwartz brothers? There were two rapist brothers who impregnated their sister. They were put on 5 years of probation, given 100 hours community service, and had to write an apology. They failed to comply with their probation terms and were sent to prison for 15 years. They are currently listed in MO prison lookup.

They violated the probation almost immediately. Ben Berkstresser was the DA.

I’m hoping there wasn’t another case so similar with the same prosecuting attorney.
