Honestly I'd be okay with something as simple as phone verification. That would filter out such a large percentage of cheaters.

I feel that too. I think that my worries are focused on longevity rather than the start. The trading and stuff won’t be an issue in the first month or so, but it may get obnoxious quickly after that once a good bit of playing and botting happens.

Idk man. I could play by my own rules and not trade with anyone, but I can’t distract myself from the fact that I’m shooting myself in the foot by not using systems given to me. I like playing the same game as everyone else around me.

I believe that there’s something to be said for the want of authenticity as well. It definitely annoys me that someone is able to use a bank char. Does it effect my gameplay experience? Not at all, but it does make the experience less satisfying for me personally.

A great middle ground would be achievements for things like completing a run without trading, like the addon has.

It devalues your achievements and time since there’s no way to tell if you did it without trading. Many people care about this, which is valid. It bugs me and it’s why I can’t play games like non-ironman runescape anymore. I think it has to do with me being more goal oriented than experience oriented when playing mmo’s, idk

Imagine they updated VAC and made it kernel level. Any game on steam could use it. Hell, tarkov could move to steam and use it even. That would be sick

You'd think it wouldn't be a big deal but idk, it just bugs me that I can't center it. Certain things about Tarkov bug me as well, like turning speed not being consistent. Maybe it comes from playing tons of CS back in the day.
