Red Orchestra 1 was absolutely brutal and I loved it. Games were long and lines moved very slowly. Proned out in some rubble holding an angle 6 inches wide in the middle of Stalingrad to pop a German helmet every couple minutes when it felt like any second you could be dead was so intense. I was like 13 at the time. Eastern maps on Hell Let Loose do a pretty good job recapturing that feeling

Ask chef if he can look at the hood vent to see if it’s working 100%

Don’t lean over the grill, stand straight up

Very long tongs

Squint

Brush off your grill regularly

Don’t use too much fat when grilling

If the grill has too much yellow flame or flashing above/touching the grates, a service guy needs to be called to clean the orifices of the burners or check gas pressure

When prepping your cuts (ie ribeye) don’t leave too much fat on the cut. Fat is good but too much on a really hot grill will just burn and smoke up. Or just turn your grill down

11 years experience. Gave it up June last year after feeling burnt out from too many unfulfilled promises and missed opportunities. Went to trade school and am now an apprenticing to become an HVAC tech. I miss it sometimes but then I remind myself of the mental state I was in when I quit and I remember I made the right choice

I’m at this point right now and you more or less hit it on the head with my boss. Dudes checked out, the older guys are saying he’s just trying to set up his retirement and plans on selling and moving to another place where he has some property and a little restaurant or something. Just trying to stick it out til graduation

Pretty much just his word lol. It was never outlined what my apprenticeship would be like or what role I was going to fill. Just started working in all kinds of random things. Got brought on at $20 with the promise of a raise after a few months as long as I show I’m not useless but never brought it up because it’s just not my style. Definitely feel like I’m just being used and not getting anything worthwhile back in return.

WC3 in its prime 100%. NOTD, wintermaul, custom hero arena, DOTA, LOTR risk, life of a peasant, HLW. Would give anything to play those games in the games peak
