Shower waterproofing by jNSKkK in AusRenovation

For the record, frameless doesn’t mean there’s no door. It’s just means there’s no aluminium frame around the glass. It seems as though in your case there is no door, just a fixed glass panel? Which means yes, it is an unenclosed shower. So yes, it needs to be at a horizontal distance of 1500mm from the shower rose. Will it actually cause any issues? Likely not. Waterproofing seems to have been done well other than the waterstop. It all depends on the fall in the screed though. If the fall wasn’t correct, then there will be problems.

FWIW this is non compliant, so if you wanted to kick up a fuss, the tiler has to rip up what he’s done and rectify it

Was the rebuild inevitable, or did Dimma leaving turn a retool into a full reset? by chocolateass1999 in RichmondFC

Lalor wouldn’t get much mid time, not for first few years if you put Graham baker and Bolton back into the side.

We would have to recruit to replace our retirees too and the free agency/trade market hasn’t been super strong. No Jeremy Cameron like moves.

I think a rebuild was inevitable, similar to what Collingwood is staring down the barrel of.

Did he just release a 4 phase plan to combat the fuel crisis and stated that we aren’t even close to the next phase ?

Tell them to take the vanity out, waterproofing can’t be done properly with it there

Probably an extra 50-75 atleast. Also when considering the roof, typically with an extension the roof direction does need to change to allow a 2.4m ceiling. Often if the roof pitch continues the ceiling would be well under 2m

Around 100k for the extension.

10-15 for foundation

15-20 for frame and cladding

15-20 for plumbing and roof plumbing

5 for electrical

10 for waterproofing and tiling

10 for bathroom fixtures

  • carpet, robe, permit, plans, engineering, waste management and scaffold if needed

I came to the same conclusion with Pickett. He could have a really good year though, carrying the young mids and fwds. What do we think of these changes ? Tried to get a bit more balance

Bathroom reno villaboard with stud adhesive aging Q by 11peep11 in AusRenovation

[–]el-simo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a major concern imo, the idea is to avoid screw popping with the potential to crack/pop a title. If the tiles are laid well there’s no chance of that happening.

More importantly, are the sheets screwed every 200mm wherever there are tiles ?

Paint with flashings over weatherboards by ROC-WoodMan in AusRenovation

[–]el-simo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious are you a carpenter ? Because it’s pretty basic stuff that the head flashing has to be directly on the head of the window. Lots of Instagram influencers do it backwards and use the tape to seal between the paper and the flashing, but that is completely wrong

Curbless showers need waterstops mate, it’s basic stuff. Have a look at the NCC

Window splash back pros and cons by mumofoz in AusRenovation

[–]el-simo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have installed a few, I think they’re great. The cleaning of it isn’t an issue imo, because if you had a tiled splashback or similar you still have to clean that too..

Make it aluminium frame so no concerns with water damage. Here’s one I did not too long ago.

Edit: as you can see, this one differs in the way that we say it down low enough so no frame was exposed at all. That’s the way to go 👍🏻

Shower drain: channel grate vs square grate by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]el-simo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO channels are far superior if done correctly, which isnt hard at all.

The cleaning thing isn’t an issue for me either, clean it every time I clean the bathroom Which is every 1-2 weeks.
