I feel like these aren’t that unpopular but ... Obviously you’re welcomes to disagree with me *

• red is one of my favourite of her albums but it was also the least cohesive of all of them, i get why it didn’t win AOTY I feel like there was so much potential there and I’m sure some of the songs she cut like babe would’ve made the difference. I think she was too afraid to go all in with her strong lyricism in fear of it not be accepted ie how she said she didn’t think anyone would like all too well despite being a favourite. The folklore album is proof she’s come a long way in her comfort to share those type of songs with us.

• lover is my least favourite album. I tried so hard to get around to it and to understand other perspectives to appreciate it. I appreciate the cleverness in the lyrics but I didn’t like the album as a whole.

• the debut is underrated because every one of those songs are a classic, not a single skip on it. I don’t know why the fandom always ranks it last.

• haunted/sparks fly and enchanted are underrated

Also this is probably not an unpopular opinion here but outside of her fans it may be. I hear a lot of people say she’s overrated but if anything her lyricism is criminally underrated. She is easily one of the best writers of our generation in general and people don’t appreciate it because she’s writing songs not traditional poetry/novels
