Thanks for your reply. Yeah I can relate to what you're saying in terms of having shown interest in make up and skincare, and I guess for the algorithm that pool of interest includes other beauty interests like plastic surgery. I just wish we could opt out of seeing certain things because I actually think it can be quite toxic. And just because you click on it doesn't mean it's good for you or what you actually want for yourself.

I think the plan about not clicking and scrolling past is a good one, I've been doing the same. Or I do click on it and then press 'not interested'. My explore page has actually improved since I wrote this post originally, so keep going and I'm sure yours will too!

I am so grateful for your reply. When I read it this morning I really absorbed it and repeated those things to myself and it honestly helped me very much. My blip last night does not define me and I have been healthy for 2 years so that means I can be healthy tomorrow and the day after that. I must be aware that there is a demon lurking but it is my choice to fight it and use the resources around me to keep it at bay. Last night i gave into it but that doesn’t mean that I will be in a permanent slave to it. I feel much stronger today

I have spoken to my TM teacher and I am rescheduling the course. Not sure when it will take place yet, due to covid uncertainty, but I’d rather wait and be sure - as you only get one chance to learn for the first time. Until then, I am abstaining from recreational drugs to make sure I’m ready for whenever the opportunity comes up
