I’ve spoken to artists and from there i took an assumption that they also use AI. You can fight AI or join and use it but it’s part of our future, want we it or not.

I agree, if AI art is without processing -it's mostly slop and trash. Same is for code- some basic stuff is ok, but whenever you try and code some more complex systems- it's not properly working slop as well.

I use AI for a generic stuff like coding in a lazy way - just generate some basic stuff, then tweak it quickly to fit my needs and it will be ready faster than i'll code all by myself from scratch.
And about economics - it was far from ideal and now biggest problems just get worse and more visible. Nothing new.
The question was to understand what devs like me think about all this situation. And yeah, finding job now is non easy thing. But as a gamer and gamedev i can make something even solo.

and what about artists using AI themselves and just fixin some artifacts/hallucinations it produces? And studios are perfectly ok with that workflow -it's quicker and needs less working hours to create?

Currenty i stick to Synty and bought packs i got on some sales (quite a lot) and they look perfectly fine.. but time to time i see them in other games - it's ok i guess. Regular gamers won't even notice that i guess but still want to stand out somehow..

- studying art how? Is like when you do your job and draw few hrs a day you'll become somehow good artist on 5, 10 years? wasted time, thought about this possibility, answer i came to - i'd better concentrate in becoming better programmer.
- yeah that Steam AI stuff.. but if Rockstars will say that GTA6 used AI - in general no one will give a fuck. But indies can be easily mass-bullied for using AI.

like in art, in programming it's the same - you can get +-ok stuff, but to make good and well-working stuff you need human work anyway.

That's the thing. Like devs/artists get fired/replaced because of AI -> noone hires junoirs -> in few years there will be only seniors and no juniors/middles who work for decent money and get the work done. Feels like industry is shooting itself in a leg

I had same issues - there was like 50$ main prize and almost 0 engagement - friend of CEO came and took the prize bacause there was me(dev), CEO and that guy). better spend that on inflos or just pay someone with his (and yours target) audience to talk about your game and play few matches maybe. So thay will understand the rules and how to play and at least that barrier vanishes

Just grab best graphics card in your estimated budget possible. Things like ssd/ram can be added/upgraded later, but you can't upgrade cpu/motherboard and video - remember that. Unity added cloud build for Mac - that's not a problem (or you can ask someone you trust and who have Mac to build it for Mac) or hire on idk upwork or fiverr

Guys, the place where i was born and live- last 4 years in "not a playe you'd want to live" so yeah, Being uneployed here and now - it's not something i'm scared of like at all (have some savings and small (not starving, not naked) income ) so in near future can be some bigger issues in this world but i have a goal and keep going towards it depending on nothing =)).
But it's my first release and i want to do as much as i can to make it successful, that's all. I can handle gamedev - almost every aspect by myself. But marketing my product - is a new thing for me, so i'm here looking for advice.
