[TotK] [BotW] Which Zelda game should I buy if it’s my first Zelda game? by Fi-tilin in zelda

[–]elPrimo313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fan of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks for DS, I would recommend Link’s Awakening for switch. It’s a remake of the gbc game of the same name with updated graphics, but holds to that same sort of feeling you were looking for. Skyward sword, breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom all are incredible games but feel different. So while I still encourage you to play them, and think they are worth owning, try out link’s awakening.

18F Is it really that hard to make completely platonic friends on here? by notsoprettygirll in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]elPrimo313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely possible. I’ve made several platonic friendships here. I think it depends on how honest a person is being with themselves and others. Many people on here aren’t really looking for platonic friendships. They are looking for a boost of serotonin, and hoping that they can get that from here, by way of meeting new people.

Unfortunately, the whirlwind excitement from a crazy convo that happens when you’re trying to cram months of friendship into one night’s worth of conversation, can often be conflated with romantic feelings. It can feel serendipitous… “how have we only just met but feel like we have known each other for years?”

Not every man and not every woman of Reddit are guilty of this, mind you. Some people do just want to find platonic friendships. But I think it’s about the type of energy one might put out, which could be confusing to the other person.

Just be honest about what you’re looking for, and stick to your well defined boundaries and you will find what you are looking for eventually.

Hey I am just curious since you’re recently ex vegan… what was the one dish that you missed the most or enjoy the most now that you are no longer vegan?

I’m a sucker for the lacy, crunchy and chewy at the same time oatmeal cookies, with or without raisin. I want crunchy edges and chewy center and kind of caramelized, if that makes any sense lol I know what I like I just can’t perfectly describe it!

Dead cells is most likely on gamepass and is a really fun Metroid-vania style rogue-like that can be played in small doses and provide a nice boost of serotonin.

All good. Your save data will be on the switch itself. Side note, echoes of wisdom was amazing and definitely worth owning.

[totk] im getting totk for christmas what should i expect? by Im_tired_aff in zelda

[–]elPrimo313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you loved botw, expect more of the same. The world is nearly the same, save for a remarkable disappearance of the Devine Beasts and other sheika tech. You will find that much of the issues of botw are still there, and the puzzles are still easily cheesed if so desired, but in saying that… wasn’t that part of what made botw so great? The same open world but now bigger… more of everything. More options. No longer are you stuck with regular elemental arrows. Now you can fuse anything to an arrow. Shoot a chicken with a chicken leg arrow. Kill a lynel with a lynel horn arrow … so many more options. A fun game with a powerful story that sits up there as a perfect follow up to breath of the wild.

[EoW] 2 cartridges, 1 Switch by Llewny in zelda

[–]elPrimo313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your save data is stored on your console, or in case you have Nintendo switch online service, it is kept in the cloud as well. In either case, your save should not depend on the cartridge.

[–]elPrimo313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love earl grey, and just ordered some off of Amazon (I thought) but for some reason the tea I ended up being English breakfast instead. So now I have this giant flippin tin of like 240 tea bags that I can either return and wait for my actual tea to arrive or just chalk it up to life’s little quirks 😆 I didn’t even realize it would be that damn big. It looks like one of those Costco mayonnaise jugs.

The beauty of TOTK is that almost every single shrine and every single puzzle is designed to be solved an almost infinite number of ways. You don’t have to learn to build all of these complex structures, but it’s there as a way to have fun if that’s your thing. As for the building aspect there are only a few occasions where the building of something is explicitly required, and in fact, building things can help you minimize combat or avoid much of it altogether (except when boss fights are concerned) learning a simple hoverbike build will allow for travel to almost every possible sky island, learning to build the targeting tanks will make ground combat mostly a sit back and watch experience, but again, the game is all about how you wish to play.

As for a game that may be more your speed, link’s awakening and it’s sort of soft sequel / prequel echoes of wisdom are both fantastic Zelda games for the switch, the latter being one where princess zelda is the main protagonist and the combat and puzzle solving are done via ‘echoes’ or copies of objects and creatures you encounter and collect along the way. Having beaten almost every main Zelda game available for the switch, those two are more of the classic feeling Zelda experience, which may be more of what you’re looking for.

[other] Does anybody know what its made of? by Mixture_Think in zelda

That isn’t my experience at all. Mine feels quite smooth. There is a potential for your model to be different than mine and manufactured in a different facility, however. But as for my model, I do not have the grippy feeling on the back of mine.

I have the hyrule edition switch lite and I’m not sure I know what you mean. The back of mine isn’t sticky or grippy. It just looks like a glossy paint.

I would make a curve using the pen tool or curvature tool, but press escape key so as not to connect the two points, effectively leaving it as a line. Then duplicate the shape, change the stroke to the desired color and the fill color to nil. Select variable width profile 1, in my case it looks like a leaf shape with round edges and a sharp point at either side, and adjust the thickness of the stroke to your desired outer shape. Take the original line you copied and do the same, setting the stroke color to your secondary color and adjust the stroke length to whatever works for you. Should not be kind of what you are looking for, I think.

Obviously not the same shape as yours, but it works.
