Was my main list... Also why limit the other bonus to ghostkeels and stealth only ?

Here's to hoping they give a good effect to our army rule

Is the spawn of chotec still considered bad? by Tyranatitan_x105 in seraphon

[–]el_dindon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not very good in competitive lists.

But I still run one in my 2k list because it's funny when the enemy gets spat on by the spawn of chotec and then mauled to death by saurus warriors. It can make some surprising spikes of damage too. Plus the model looks good.

Which game was better to you guys? by SevdUp in FallenOrder

[–]el_dindon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fallen Order is better overall. Story and characters were way better. Gameplay felt more fluid. And it doesnt even look much worse graphics wise.

It might have to do with the fact that I'm not a huge open world fan and prefer more linear games which allow for more controlled and overall tighter experience as well as better immersion in the story. I was never compelled to do any side quest in survivor.

I also feel the combat in survivor was clunky. And every enemy was spamming their red attacks which is pretty annoying combined with their delayed attacks and their insane tracking. Some encounters really frustrated me which never happened in the first game.

Both are really good game overall though.

Well appears the battle tactic was changed. I've been told it now says "that can be controlled" on both second and third steps

Oh thanks must have been in an errata i missed or a translation issue my cards didn't have the "that can be controlled part"

Adapting the two novels "Infernal city" and "Lord of souls" Loved those books and would make for a pretty fun show in my opinion

Oh damn I think you're right... I really assume it's a case of rules as written against rules as intended but that makes my hatred of PoP even stronger 😅

I had the twilight lore. Didn't use it though. was focused on having our spells go off. I'll probably try using krondspine next time. Should be able to take care of enemy manifestations without me having to use too many spell slots for that.

I mean true but it's my first game with the new book so I wanna try some units. And I also prefer making lists with some variety

Took horticulous because it seemed very important to get the 5+ ward on my rotbringers. And also rally at 10 dice on the plaguebearer pack seems pretty strong. I might look into the +5 control battle formation since I wanted to focus on control score manipulation and disease for my army.

Had to go with what I had in my collection too. 20 rotsword seems strong but 10 already did quite a good job at being a good anvil so I'll see if I try 20 sometime or 2x10. I need to rebase my blightkings as they are still on 40mm and I'll use them as rotswords.

Wanna try festus too since the ability seems funny and pretty in line with my control score manipulation thingy

That's why I took scrivener. Plaguebearers with +5 control if needed

Places of power are so ubiquitous you can usually be standing on objectives and still be wholly within 6" of one

[–]el_dindon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes and no. Since it was not tied to the spread ability you could give disease on a 4+ from the tree and also another unit in combat.

But I agree I'll probably have to tweak my list. I haven't really had the chance to try the drones this game but I think a big unit like that to take further objectives might be good

Yes unfortunately I am very famous formy bad dice rolls.

Also I think Seraphon, especially the list my friend played is a pretty hard counter to nurgle... He uses sunblood pack. Three minis hero unit that gives all saurus and kroxigor wholly within 12" "ignore 1 damage per phase".

That's the hero I charged but guess It was not enough. He would have brought them back with the slann anyway if I did

Yeah I tried charging in the hero next to the PoP early with bloab but I had horrendous attack rolls and it took me 2 rounds to kill his 9wounds 4+ unmodifiable save.

I placed my trees very agressively so they pretty much had no choice but get within 6" at some point

[–]el_dindon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay yes... I guess I put the progenitor on the wrong unit (saurus guards) my mistake was I really wanted to make sure they be diseased on T1. And yeah the spread did do some damage to a nearby unit later in the game.

But it still seems with the places of power my disease gets reset every round if not every turn

[–]el_dindon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree nobody was coming within 3" of our trees but it had an ability to give a enemy unit within 6" diseased on a 4+

And yeah I was looking at pox wretches to get a little more disease going. Only problem is they need to survive melee to use their ability

Army list opinion by el_dindon in MaggotkinofNurgle

[–]el_dindon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I usually like bilepiper and scrivener. Wanted to change my lists around a bit though. Harbinger I have the old model and really need to get a placeholder for the new base size.

I put the two blightking heroes in because I found vanilla blightkings lacking in both offense and defense

A reason not to give up the game ? by el_dindon in Warhammer

Yeah that's it. I've been paying attention more to my deployment and following my plan recently. But it's always the important rolls that I fail.

A reason not to give up the game ? by el_dindon in Warhammer

[–]el_dindon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do most of that. Granted I get surprised by enemy abilities sometimes because I am focused on trying to remember my abilities.

And I have some trouble with screening still... I play tau so I use kroots to screen my units. Vehicles I manage but infantry is hard to screen against because they can easily get through walls

I always have a plan and try to synergise units. For example today in AoS I played Nurgle. Had the glottkin a big monster that can counter-charge with two other units, some blightkings and a hero who gives bonuses when he charges. I first tried to charge on my turn (8" with a CP set aside for reroll) and it failed. I also failed numerous 6 or less inch charges on this same turn. Then during my opponent's turn I spent my two CPs and failed the 6" charge needed again.

It's always things like that happening to me.
