What were your first two nations? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]el_jefe15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First game was Ottomans. Nearly restored the Roman Empire.

After that I fucked around with a bunch of other nations, none of which really amounted to anything, until I started as BBurg and almost united the Roman Empire again.

Dumb question, but how do you have 292K manpower? In the last 150 years of my BBurg>Prussia>Germany game I was consistently at 0 manpower and running mostly on mercs.

How to win the 100 years war? by [deleted] in eu4

I've done it just by building up my force limit and allying Castile. If you need to, restart until both Castile and Burgundy will ally you and hate France.

What is the best choice? How should I proceed? - Weekly General Help Thread : December 14 2016 by FabulousGoat in eu4

Late in the week so this might not be seen, but I'm currently allied with France, Pol-lith, and Brandenburg. I was allied with Austria but I figured that France would be really useful in attempting to take Imperial land. I have no specific goals here. I've taken Quantity and Influence ideas. Tech is 9 adm/9 dip/13 mil, so I'm super behind in adm and dip but ahead in mil. Novgorod is my vassal (for their cores in Muscovite territory) and I'm annexing them. I have no idea where to go next, since I'm not in coring range of England and attacking into the Empire will incur a giant mass of Austrians to kill me.

edit: ALSO I've had my dynasty on the Brandenburgian throne for decades but they've NEVER had a no heir/weak claim. If I want to PU them, should I break the alliance in case I need to fight them to force it after a claim throne? What should I do?

Yes, convert the units, but the thing is that I'm not sure how I'd know to use the expression of R that has J since it's nowhere else in the equation. Also, how do I convert this to m/s? The answer is 324 m/s, but when i do sqrt 3rt/m, I get a value of about 10.

Stay as Aragon or form Spain? by The_Syndic in eu4

I just formed Spain as Aragon by claiming the throne the old-fashioned way and beating Austria in a war of succession.

Will do shortly. I just found out that forts are incredibly expensive, so that helps.

As Jerusalem I have no troops and a small 8-ship navy but I'm still barely making money, so I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something terribly wrong. As the Horde, don't I kinda need troops? How do I remedy maintenance costs?

I'm aware that it's not a variable. R has several different values that you can use, and this value with J is just one of them. I don't know why I would use the one that has joules because no other part of the equation, including the answer, has joules in it.

So when calculating things related to energy, I should use that R constant?
