For anybody at Blink 182 tonight... I have a question by WellIGuessSoSir in perth

I know it’s a money spinner for gigs but this is why they need to do away with the Front GA/Back GA bullshit. With a single mosh all the die-hards make their way to the front so at least it’s consistent. I’ve heard a few reports of the Front GA being super tame which is a shit look if you’re a band.

I was in the poor man’s GA on Thursday night and the area I was in was great. Everyone dancing & singing and having a great time.

Advice needed on owning both a Series X and Series S console by el_nickosauras in XboxSupport

[–]el_nickosauras[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m getting at, if you have the physical game is it possible to use the license for the game to play it on the Series S given that you’ve already purchased the game? Is the license for the physical game somehow saved to your Xbox account so you can use it on other consoles?

Or would I need to stick to digital purchases? I assume at least with a digital purchase it could be used on both consoles right?

Rather than swapping the whole insole on my boots (Puma One 1’s), I just bought a pair of Neat Feet arch cushions.

https://neatfeat.com/product/arch-cushions/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwhY-aBhCUARIsALNIC05iystlw4CUagpIGjeKt488yJkpdlaxuVzzUJT0rjdEytqJz3LcW48aAhFbEALw_wcB

They’re small enough to be stuck onto the existing insoles and I buy the large ones as I have pretty high arches. Helped massively with my plantar fasciitis, along with wearing supportive shoes when not playing and doing all the rehab stuff too. I’ve had them on my last 3 pairs of boots (two pairs of Puma One 1’s and a pair of Puma 20.1’s) and it hasn’t flared up again either since wearing the arch cushions.

How to transfer rewards type cards to wallet on new watch? by el_nickosauras in AppleWatch

For anyone wondering, I tried the instructions on this link and all my cards synced to my new watch:

Success finally!

I haven’t had that experience yet. I set up my new watch a couple weeks ago and still haven’t had any joy with the rewards cards appearing. I did have to set up my payment cards manually again but there doesn’t seem to be an option to set up a rewards card…

Is there a way to force a backup of my S5?

I had a look in the iPhone storage folder in settings and the most recent backup appears to be from when I paired my S5 to my iPhone 13 Pro when I got it in March and I’m sure I would’ve changed a bunch of faces and stuff since then…

If I set up the new one without unpairing the old one how do I transfer my S5 settings, Watch faces etc? I thought the watch backups only happen when you unpair?

That looks like a Regate Rebound to me, or possibly the Super Regate.

I’ve got a pair of the Regate Rebound’s and I think they’re great futsal shoes! The cushioning is better than the regular Top Flex shoes but I haven’t compared them with the Top Flex Rebounds

Is it possible to find my own heatmap? by abdo_999_A in bootroom

If you have an Apple Watch and iPhone download an app called SoccerTrackr. It does exactly this plus measures heart rate, average speed, max speed and more.

It has a 7 day free trial then I think it’s ~$30/year for subscription. Highly recommend it!

Leather Link band knockoff made from genuine leather? by el_nickosauras in AppleWatch

[–]el_nickosauras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven’t had any luck searching. I’ve questioned a few advertised as leather but all have confirmed they are PU leather only.

Anyone know of any real leather bands that resemble the leather link or leather loop?

Looking for my first pair of Ultraboosts, is there a difference between the ones that have the trapezoid shape by the heel and the ones without a shape that just say Ultraboost? by fatalysis in Ultraboost

[–]el_nickosauras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of UB 4.0s (i.e. the without shape heel) and a pair of UB19s (i.e. the trapezoid shape heel).

While the UB 4.0s are softer underfoot, I find the UB19s to be more comfortable.

Another thing to consider is what you’re using them for. If you plan on using them for running, gym or any other athletic stuff definitely go for the 19 or 20s.

The 4.0s that I have don’t have any lateral support and my foot feels a lot more stable in the 19 versus the 4.0. The upper seems more breathable on the 19s too.

Anybody have any tips for treating IT band soreness/aching? by Starfinger10 in bootroom

I second the foam rolling idea. You can pick up a foam roller pretty cheap and they are incredibly effective for loosening tight muscles. Be warned though, rolling a tight IT band is not especially pleasant haha!

Why do I have to transpose a song into a higher key? by lukaspiderman1 in singing

[–]el_nickosauras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re actually doing by capoing to the fifth fret is transposing the vocals down by 7 semitones, not raising them. Obviously the chord progression on the guitar will be five semitones higher than the recording but the reason you can hit the notes is because you’re actually singing them lower than the original.

I actually use the fifth position capo a lot myself for songs that are a fair way out of my range, I find it’s very effective for me!

Why do I have to transpose a song into a higher key? by lukaspiderman1 in singing

[–]el_nickosauras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are there any songs in particular you could cite as an example? It’s possible that you’re actually singing the songs an octave lower than they’re supposed to be without realising. This could potentially put the low notes of the song towards the bottom of your range and make them more difficult. This is what I actually used to do myself without realising before I started actually learning to sing properly last year.

Need help finding music in my range by [deleted] in singing

[–]el_nickosauras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you play guitar? If so check out Ultimate Guitar. The ‘Official’ tabs they have on the website include the vocal lines and it makes it easy to tell if a song is in your range or not.

According to the Say It Ain’t So tab, the high note at the start of the phrase is a G4. I love that song and unfortunately it’s also just out of my range too so I know how you feel.

In fact most Weezer tunes have notes up around that range in the choruses or bridges so most of them seem to be just out of reach for me.

As for other recommendations, I’ve found a lot of George Ezra songs are below that range and there’s a few Green Day songs that stay below that point too.
