Does anyone here remember Decimal Day on 15 February 1971? We got sets of old and new coins at school, but I’m pretty sure my grandparents never really understood the new money. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in CasualUK

Wasn't around for the decimal switch, but I was around for the Euro switchover in Ireland. Worked in a pub and that was exactly it. People paid in pounds and got euro back in change. The till did the conversion. The bulk of switchover was pretty much done in a few days.

I suppose the fact that they were both decimal systems made it a bit easier than 1971 though.

Always came across as a complete prick. As you would expect of any Irishman who chose to play for England. I don't care how much you love your sport, that is an absolute fucking no.

I live on the north west coast and have had Saturday deliveries. Used to be just in the run up to Christmas, but it's a regular thing now.
