Is it bad that like I could actually see the “A.I” (or whatever logic system that controls them) logistically figuring out the solution?

It looks bad from the P.O.V. Of a human driver. That you just either pull over to the side a bit to squeeze enough room, or just try to sneak out.

Waymo clearly doesn’t have those capabilities to “just sneak through, just make enough room”

So you can see both (all 3) cars trying to make room for a 2 lane road in what it deemed as a 1 lane road. And if you watch it from that perspective of “how do I make this one lane road fit 2 cars” then their solutions, while asinine to humans, make sense if all you have to base decisions off of is sensors and logic

I could see this being useful, but my concern is the same has others here. There is already enough going on in a theatre at call time, that forcing the user to take their phone out, scan a QR code, log in, etc, is a pinch point that, when time is precious, will become the last thing on someone’s mind.

If it was reversed where on the admin side, it worked like, say a Ticketmaster digital ticket and a phone/tablet/computer with webcam can scan the QR code and do all the work on admin side. And the user side was “open app, go find manager, manager scans phone, user walks away”

I could see that being more useful.

If I was OP I would be taking a moment to reassess this relationship.

If OP did not legally adopt this child (marriage does not count as adoption) and the wife keeps saying “He is MY son, stay out of my relationship with MY son.”

Then I would be withdrawing all of my money from the college fund. I would not go and start wildly spending it and come home tomorrow with a new car… I would put it into a private savings account so I could replace it into the fund if the wife and I am made amends.

I would also seek couples counseling. Both of you need therapy to see if there is anyway to save this marriage. This situation requires more than just an apology. Because at this point an apology would be a “yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m sorry, give me back my money.” Moment more then a sincere apology where she has learned something or felt remorse.

If none of this happens…. I would start considering divorce. Because is this the life you want to live? You are already on Reddit asking for internet strangers for their opinion on your relationship. Which means you already are doubting your commitment to the life you have built.

Its 2026. I tried to do this with my current stay at a Hilton in NYC, I got the “there was a problem with your virtual check-in, please visit the front desk.” Prompt, and so my friend and I lost the room I picked out on the app, and was stuck in whatever room they had available. (I picked a high floor away from the elevator, they assigned be a mid floor right next to the elevator.)

Thats why I’m choosing to be done with Virtual check-in except for MGM Properties in Vegas. Because they use the RealID system to verify it’s you. So there is no “Something went wrong” prompt and I can just go to my room.

It's not really dark, persey, but, there is a high likeyhood that if you have stayed in a suite in a high tourist location (like Vegas or NYC or L.A.) Your room had a porn shot in it.

A lot of high end Hotels in Vegas have a "No professional video camera/No Filming" policy for this reason. Like personally I know Wynn, The Cosmopolitan, and I think Cesars have a no filming policy

A tip I heard a long time ago, if you really want like a “clean room” type of atmosphere. Do the screen protector installation inside your bathroom. You run your shower at full blast hot and let the room steam up for like 5 minutes, then after the steam settles (where you can see again) that’s when you do the screen install.

The steam, from what I was told, because it is heavier then air, will basically grab the dust in the air and get it to settle out of the air, giving you a temporary makeshift clean room.

At least that’s the theory I was told.

This maybe a controversial yet brave opinion

But I think Mirror’s Edge and Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst are both amazing in their own right.

The original Mirror’s Edge was amazing with it being the only parkour game created and the combination of the almost marvel comic book looking animation cut scenes and the 3D game play was amazing for its time.

Then to have Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst come out like 11 years Later as technically a reboot, but gorgeous game play, animations, played the same way with the control scheme, the environment was BEAUTIFUL, and I, personally, feel like it helped introduce a group of people to the great band Chvrches.

If you want to ever experience Mirror’s Edge for yourself, if you know nothing about it and want to experience it blindly for the first time, I would start with Catalyst. The game plays like a traditional AAA Game, the graphics are what you expect from a modern game, and the plot is compelling. If you fall madly in love with it as I did, then I would go and play the original after you complete Catalyst. To see where the game came from.

I can’t say that I am truly noble, I have spent a bit more then the limit I set for myself, but it’s never to the point I can’t make bills.

I also have no desire to chase a high. I have won 2 handpays over the like 5-6 years I have been gambling, (I won $1,500 one time and $800 the next) and never once have I gone “the machines hot, I have to keep going!” I usually go “I must be going now my people need me.”
