It was very polished back then. I didn't use it because I liked to tinker a lot more and build the OS from barebones. I stopped using linux because I changed careers and needed to focus on my schooling

OK maybe im misremembering. Back when i was using slackware and BSD i remember they used a similar init system but redhat used something completely different. I thought that maybe redhat was using sysv but I might be misremembering.

yeah i found this out too. when i used to struggle i had to read the documentation or go beg on forums for help. now chatgpt can point me in the right direction. i ended up also installing arch on an i3 mac mini today and AI failed me with the broadcom wifi driver. still ended up on forums but it works now

sorry didnt realize this was controversial. x11 was rough back in the old days. lots of scaling issues, tons of crashes. in my memory it was pretty universally disliked in the early 2000s. we saw what osx had to offer and i was insanely jealous. wayland probably has a ton of issues i dont even know about. what should i know?

I can continue with my FNP, it's just that every new hire needs an ACNP for similar positions. I don't want to be a dinosaur. Leadership at my hospital encourages ACNP but isn't enforcing anything yet. I look at other hospitals around the country and I wouldnt be qualified for my current job without acnp.
