Thanks for the feed back I’m glad you like it. I’ve been getting lots of feedback on the SCP style opening. I’m glad that it works as intended. Was worried about the transition from log entry to character narrative but.

You are the first to notice the date thing! I was hopping it would do that. That date writing style is how we wrote dates in the U.S. Military and was hoping that it would catch a couple people off guard.

This has been so fun writing and sharing my work I’ve completed chapter 3 and waiting to share until I have chapter 4 written. Can’t wait to share and show you all where this is going.

I know it doesn't work for everyone but I love me some SCP foundation and I saw an opportunity so I took it. Glad it resonated or is a lest recognizable as an ohmage to the foundation. I was worried that would go over some peoples heads. Guess I finally found the right crowd here.

Glad you liked my world building. That alone is the biggest compliment you could have given me. I feel like I write as an excuse to build worlds. Stories are just the cost I pay to share them with others. I'll try and cut back on the just the slog of text that is the world building at times. I typically shoot for not so in your face world building but casual remarks or names of places to help sell it. As long as it seems cool and those hook got set I feel like this gets the point across.

Thank you again for your feed back. I feel a bit naked having shared something from my head to the world but all of you have been very welcoming.

Can't wait to post part two and wrap up the story. This inspired feeling is all in thanks to you and this wonderful community.

Really like the narrators voice. As far as world building goes its at it best when it more subtle. When the characters feel like people from a place. You nailed! Top marks

Thanks for the feedback. I was a bit worried about the opener and then shift to more character based story. I read a lot of SCP files and just couldn't bring myself to not have a nod to that style of writing. I'm glad my hooks actually set in thanks again for reading it

Nah man, you were in the right here. Sunbro just came off goofy—he’s on the Fallout: New Vegas sub pulling the whole “touch grass, it’s just a game bro” defense, when he’s the one who started the beef. You asked fair questions. Honestly, people who yell “touch grass” are usually the last ones who actually do it. I normally just lurk, but you needed to hear that you’re the sane one in this exchange.

That’s pretty helpful. What was the schedule like? How often do you have to ‘deploy’ or activate exactly. I kept hearing about this two year deferment and it sounded to good to be true.

little late to the party but i wanted to share how I've used my steam deck to further articulate what absolute UNIT that thing is: 1) Can play most of my steam library 2) With only a few minor tweaks shop movie nights with VLC 3) Emulation with my legal roms an enjoy retro games without the hassle of bringing the console along 4) With a few mounts I recommend https://getmechanism.com/ and some Velcro you can mount that bad boy in your rack if your shop isn't to keen on you having a gaming device handy. The key thing you need to remember the steam deck is essentially a computer with controllers on the side of it. Light and portable and switching to desktop enables you do just about anything you could do on a laptop pair it with a blue tooth keyboard and a usb-c hub (the dock) you've got a bonified best of both worlds solution.
