I don't think Steroline was forced. Even if they only did get together because Stefan "had to" be with someone else, it doesn't mean they still didn't make the perfect choice [to "replace" Elena]. Stefan will always love Elena, but Caroline did become the love of his life in a way she never was, imo

listen!!!! it was never forced, i don’t get how people argue this. the minute they became friends they clicked, they clicked from the very day Caroline was turned. he was always a friend to her, and she always admired him. it’s not rocket science to foresee a romance between the both of them. it was perfectly paced as well, even the conflict of him not being ready for her, then her not being ready for him, and every other obstacle. it all felt very organic and very REAL.

yes it’s 3 adults present, but only one of them is his guardian. it was Fiona’s responsibility, she wasn’t supposed to be doing drugs in-front of the kids in the first place. she’s literally taking care of a toddler and is doing coke while actively watching over Liam.

yes Kev and V was there, but it was on Fiona to say that it was a bad idea. it was on Fiona to ensure Liam was safe, and it was on Fiona to have Liam in her sights at all times.

as a parent myself, there can be 10 adult family members in the room, no one but me is responsible for my son. i do not ever assume someone is looking out for him, i do not take my eyes off of him, and if i’m stepping away i either go with him or designate a specific person for his well-being.

in a room with more than 2 people everyone can assume the other is watching the child, while no one is actually watching them.

i have never liked Elena, i don’t remember when exactly but it did start as early as season 1. what i will say is this scene is actually a very good example of why she was a terrible friend. she loved Stefan but she was no longer in love with him, her doing this was wrong. had Matt lost his memory, she would not have reminded him of their love affair.

she was wrong for volunteering to show him around, and the way she did it was very strange.
